@xssfox@cloudisland.nz can you control the readings at all, such as by moving fingers? Do they have Bluetooth? Is this a weird midi instrument?

@nyquildotorg@gts.nyquil.org Mozilla built a telemetry kill switch into Firefox after its users demanded one. Only 0% have used it. The rest left everything on.

@nedbat@hachyderm.io modern x86 is nothing but a comforting lie implemented in microcode
Family grocery shopping trip on Sunday. Waved to so many puppies. Stopped to look at ducks with excited children. Saw some magnolias in full blossom. Just bicycle things.
The nice thing about #solar energy is the sun doesn't go out when some wannabe dictator has a hissyfit.
The cucumbers are flowering already. It's 3°C tonight. What the heck.

@NunavutBirder Today I learned that the northern lights are actually long wisps of epic polar bear unicorn hair.

@SarraceniaWilds@sunny.garden @hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange idk, I'd rather not have a chunk of single-use plastic. And if that means no extra/controlled JIT sauce, that's ok.

@Centretowner@urbanists.social last few times I went to city hall I left my tools on the bike and carried my whole dang bicycle in. I don't think that's in the security desk person's training manual.
Train station onigiri is so good. I'm glad it's freshly stocked right before rush hour. I wish it wasn't ridiculously overpriced, but it's still way better than fastfood.

@catsalad Right I am! That HCI stuff is a tool, and neural embodiment has absorbed it into my limbs. Laying on it is unwanted touching, and covering it in hair & scratches is a violation of bodily integrity. Your right to lay on stuff ends where my tools begin.

@PapyrusBrigade@cosocial.ca a website search engine (DDG) blocked Libby (an installed app) from attempting to do tracking? Wat. What does this mean?

@SarraceniaWilds@sunny.garden @hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange ooh? These are refillable? I've only seen flimsy ones you kinda rip open with your teeth. How do the reusable ones differ?
I would like coverage.py results in the gutters in VSCode without anything in VSCode trying to do test discovery or execution.
And I would like it without an untrusted extension.
Just read the coverage report occasionally.
Is there something good?
Edit: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ryanluker.vscode-coverage-gutters looks ok.

Any indication there'll ever be a Metrolinx Go bus (or train) between Hamilton/Burlington and Kitchener/Waterloo?
This detour via Square One or Brampton first is ridiculously long and makes regional travel painful.
A better route keeps showing up in plans like https://assets.metrolinx.com/image/upload/v1671552931/Images/Metrolinx/Metrolinx_-_2041_Regional_Transportation_Plan_Final_-_EDIT_kk1qax.pdf (page 70). But I'm not sure whether it makes more sense to wait/hope or just relocate to somewhere else that already has functional regional transportation.
Do you think Portal2 will ever be updated to work on modern MacOS?
