Hello everyone, you can submit your mutual aid request here for amplification on the Fediverse and the general worldwide web: https://mutualaidspace.org/submit When you submit through the form, the post will be federated as @comrade. It will automatically tag @mutualaid and @mutualaid@fedigroups.social, alongside human profiles including my personal account @wrzky@kolektiva.social, my blog @wrzky, and the project account @mutualaidspace. It will also automatically add hashtags for wider circulation and indexed search: #mutualaid #mutualaidspace #mutualaidrequest #poverty #healthcare #mentalhealth #disability #disabilitymutualaid #disabilitycrowdfund #fedihelp #fediverse #politics #emergencycrowdfund Functionally, this is similar to tagging me, my blog, or my mutual aid project in your own mutual aid request post. The main difference is that the submission form allows you to anonymise yourself and have the request circulate through @comrade instead of your own social media account. The form is also useful if you do not have a Fediverse profile, or if you simply do not have many followers there. Your request does not depend entirely on the size of your own social network to reach people, because mutualaidspace.org has its own amplification infrastructure. The email address entered into the form is used for administrative communications about your submission, including automatic or manual removal notifications. It is not published unless you separately include it in your public appeal, does not subscribe you to a newsletter, and is not retained as a general contact record after it is no longer needed for your submission and its administrative handling. A Fediverse profile is already a social media profile where you can separate yourself from your IRL identity. But when asking the general public on the worldwide web for solidarity and material support, mutual aid seekers are often among the people in the most vulnerable position online. They may still go out of their way to reveal who they are, their circumstances, and other personal information because asking strangers for support often comes with pressure to prove that the need is real. The form does not remove that reality, but it provides a semblance of a barrier between the mutual aid seeker, their own social media profile on the Fediverse, and general netizens. The request can still travel through the Fediverse and the wider web without necessarily making the mutual aid seeker’s own social media identity the account being circulated alongside it. It functions mainly as an amplifier, so please do not use the form as the only place where you put your mutual aid request. You can either paste the link to your own mutual aid request post into the form or write your mutual aid request manually. The point is to help the request travel further while giving the person asking for support a little more control over how directly their social media identity is attached to that circulation. If you want to know more about the project, read here: https://mutualaidspace.org/about #activism #anarchism #fediverse

I suppose an #introduction post is long overdue. My name is PJ van Mill (pjvm for short; 'they'). I'm working as a doctorand/PhD-student at Maastricht University, in mathematical operations research. I am interested in lots of other things. Two big ones for me are psychology, where I mostly engage with niches that are critical of mainstream psych, and leftist political analysis, where currently most of what I read is from an anarchist perspective. I'm also into some areas of law, namely copyright law and Dutch law on associations and other legal persons. I try to promote digital autonomy and I like simple and well-designed software. I love classical music; I sing in two classical choirs in Maastricht and I like to do classical improvisation on keyboard instruments. I do some volunteer work for my choirs; for one of them I am currently a board member. I also make sheet music sometimes. I have a website and a gemini capsule, for which I try to write stuff (I have a lot of stuff in my head that I have yet to get out into text) and where you can find some sheet music as well. What else... well, I am some kind of queer, but it's all a bit vague, uncertain and hard to explain or label. One aspect that has more or less crystallised is that I really don't like it when people make gendered assumptions about me, and I would hesitantly label myself as agender. I'm also autistic; currently not pursuing a formal psychiatric diagnosis. Lastly, I suppose quite an important thing for me is that I grew up christian and am now agnostic. I'm not very active on here; I read a lot of other people's posts but rarely make my own. I kind of want to change that, spend less time reading and more time interacting. #mathematics #Maastricht #ZuidLimburg #psychology #anarchism #law #foss #classicalMusic #personalWebsite #gemini #geminiProtocol #queer #agender #actuallyAutistic #agnosticism

UNCTAD says Gaza's per-capita income has fallen 83 percent to 58 cents a day, the worst economic collapse on record, while reconstruction needs climb to $71.5 billion. Below this piece sits this week's mutual aid roundup: rent, medication, evacuation costs, campaigns that have sat underfunded for days the people behind them can't afford to lose. Give what you can move today. Share what you can't fund, because reach costs nothing, and none of this week's list can wait on anyone else's timeline.

"With the myth of the State out of the way, the real mutuality and reciprocity of society and the individual became clear. Sacrifice might be demanded of the individual, but never compromise: for though only the society could give security and stability, only the individual, the person, had the power of moral choice - the power of change, the essential function of life." It has come to pass in history that the workers have defeated capitalism, but the victory then slipped from their grasp, because some state power emerged, amalgamating the interests of private capitalism and those of state capitalism for the sake of success over the toilers. -- Nestor Makhno #anarchism #quote #bot

Trump tells the UN he's deciding whether to "annihilate" Iran. Pezeshkian answered with photos of children killed in strikes on a school. Iran's costs are being paid by people who had no seat at the UN podium. The mutual aid requests below carry that same weight: people absorbing decisions made in rooms they were never invited into. Mutual aid can't reverse those decisions, but it can keep someone housed. Give what you can move today. Share what you can't fund. @mutualaid@fedigroups.social @mutualaid@ovo.st @mutualaidspace#iran #mutualaid #mutualaidrequest #politics #USpol #genocide #palestine #press #anarchismhttps://mutualaidspace.org/mutual-aid-request-roundup-24-sept-2026/

Today in Labor History September 22, 1919: 400,000 steelworkers, in 50 cities, went on strike to protest intolerable working conditions. Union leaders believed that if they could organize the steel workers, it would lead to a massive wave of unionization across the country. Thus began the Great Steel Strike of 1919. The bosses, however, were able to turn public opinion against the workers by calling them Communists and immigrants. They attacked strike organizer William Z. Foster as a revolutionary syndicalist and Wobbly (IWW). They hired Pinkertons, who kicked out any workers who came from out of town to support the strike. And they got local governments to shut down meeting halls on the grounds of health and safety violations. Ultimately, they called upon federal troops, which helped crush the strike after 3½ months, killing several workers, and imprisoning hundreds. However, the leadership of the American Federation of Labor also doomed the strike. Their racist, nativist, and disdainful views toward the increasingly immigrant workforce, and their autocratic strategies, alienated many of the workers. And U.S. Steel’s labor spies within the workforce were quick to exploit and deepen the riffs these attitudes and tactics produced among the workers. #workingclass #LaborHistory #union #steel #strike #IWW #anarchism #communism #immigration #policebrutality #police #racism

“Anarchists know that a long period of education must precede any great fundamental change in society, hence they do not believe in vote-begging, nor political campaigns, but rather in the development of self-thinking individuals.” — Lucy Parsons This is the first page of Glowing, a six page sequence illustrating an excerpt from “The Principles of Anarchism“, by Lucy Parsons https://www.lucyparsonsproject.com/writings/principles_of_anarchism.html Glowing is the third work in the Subterranean series. Greek prisoners release: Selective American condemnation is telling Two long-term prisoners were released in Greece this week: a leader of a prominent neo-nazi organisation and an anarchist — only one of the two was singled out by the US ambassador https://freedomnews.org.uk/2026/09/19/greek-prisoners-release-selective-us-condemnation-is-telling/ #Prisons #Greece #Anarchism #Fascism

I’ve been carrying a voluntary mutual aid infrastructure project (mutualaidspace.org) while using my platforms to push anti-imperial analysis and sustain it through whatever freelance work my disability allows. But that model has become unsustainable. For health reasons, I’ve shifted entirely to developing the Hub and offering my take when my nervous system allows. Full transparency and the new support structure are here: 🔗 https://wrzky.com/links Please support within your capacity or amplify. @mutualaid  @mutualaid@fedigroups.social @mutualaidspace @wrzky@kolektiva.social @disability @disability@fedigroups.social @autistics@fedigroups.social @actuallyadhd@fedigroups.social #mutualaidrequest #DisabilityMutualAid #disabilitycrowdfund #emergencycrowdfund #mutualaid #mutualaidboost #disability #press #activism #politics #writer #neurodivergence #fedihelp #fediverse #socialmedia #mutualaidspace #DisabledWriters #mentalhealth #womensrights #poverty #healthcare #books #anarchism

Every U.S. anarchist has heard of anarchist-controlled Catalonia (1936-1937). Many have heard about Makhnovshchina, the anarchist autonomous zone in Ukraine (1917-1921). How 'bout the Korean anarchist autonomous zone in Manchuria (1929-1931)? Today in Labor History September 18, 1931: The Korean People's Association in Manchuria was dissolved by the Japanese, after they invaded and established a dictatorship over the anarchist autonomous zone. Two million Korean migrants lived in the autonomous zone, after having fled Korea in the wake of the Donghak Peasant Revolution of 1894 and subsequent Japanese invasion, in which hundreds of thousands died. The anarchist autonomous zone they created in Manchuria, in 1929, was built upon the principles of stateless communism and mutual aid to support the numerous refugees with food, shelter and self-defense. They were repeatedly attacked by both Japanese imperialists and Korean communists. #workingclass #LaborHistory #korea #anarchism #imperialism #japan #communism #mutualaid #dictatorship #Revolution #uprising
