My doggo passed away. I'm not breaking down, I knew his time was coming so I was ready to take it all. He was my best friend and companion. I'm still very sad. Day 5: Not much going on other than tweaking KDE desktop, some .conf files, emerging missing packages, cleaning up some USE flags that really isn't needed at all in first place depending on desktop/linux profile which was already enabled by default. Fixed boot sequence by disabling UEFI logo in mobo which is now faster: (UFEI POST message -> Gentoo GRUB -> Plymouth Boot Splash Screen -> Login Screen -> Splash Screen Tweaked Librewolf to use tabs on vertical sidebar rather than toolbar with expanding on hover, I think it's starting to grow on me. MORE SPACE in horizontal screen! KDE Frameworks is behind update other than the new KDE Plasma 6.7.5 (I will figure this one out eventually) /boot and /efi is still a hot mess thanks to some confusions from the Handbook, maybe I will redo it next time as I do not want to mess that part lol #Gentoo #Linux #OpenRC #systemdless #Wayland #KDE #PostInstallation #Handbook

@rriemann@chaos.social I was referring to .env.production for media URL configuration (e.g. S3_ALIAS_HOST, EXTRA_MEDIA_HOSTS). The location of local media is determined by the Quadlet's storage volume. If you're not using S3, you can replace the named volume with a bind mount, for example: Volume=%h/mastodon/public/system:/mastodon/public/system:z,U Then point your reverse proxy at the corresponding host directory. Mastodon still writes to /mastodon/public/system inside the container, while the bind mount exposes the same files on the host.
