Here's another article from someone defending our skies. The Guardian are asking for 300 word responses - space mirrors aren't mentioned

p.s. Don't complain to me about the Latin, which DeepL translates as "Behold! Nigel the Frog attacks from the ground with a water-tank on his head."
Remember the tapestry is woven from a French point of view.

Let’s help the new Reform councillors settle into local government properly by emailing them this week with an actual council problem to solve.
Rubbish piling up? Email them.
Bus route disappeared into the void? Email them.
Streetlights dead? Email them.
Care package delayed? Email them.
Pavement looks like the Somme? Email them.
Send them in by the hundred. Politely, but very clearly, remind them what the job actually is.

Because being a councillor is not standing in front of a Union Jack shouting about dinghies on GB News.
It’s reading committee papers at midnight. Attending meetings nobody enjoys. Holding surgeries in half-empty church halls. Arguing about drains, recycling contracts, SEND provision, parking permits and social care budgets.
Welcome to local government.
The boats are in Kent. The bins are in your ward.
You can find your ward councillor’s email address on your local council website.

Very GOP/Trumpian - have a harsh policy against the most vulnerable. Then use the mechanisms of the "establishment" against those who oppose those policies.
Reform are very uncertain about which bits of the establishment they like and dislike.

Or the system is working exactly as required. Not to produce value for customers but to extract value for CEOs and directors.
It always astonishes me that boards of directors can continue to extract large bonuses from companies even as a company is obviously failing

If you litter in the UK you face a £150 fixed penalty fine. Maybe have proportional fines for billionaires who litter in space?

A few $10's of millions on good projects. Billions spent on regressive politics. I'd say the balance sheet was decidedly evil.

Pedantry alert: apparently this is a modern Latin term from 1689
Perhaps we can update it further to

The term greasy spoon was introduced maliciously above. There is documentary evidence for espresso machines in the UK in the 1950s
So WE invented the flat white and it was re-invented by OZ/NZ.
And however its presented its still just a milky coffee and hardly worth Protected Designation of Origin arguments.

I've been reading that the flat white was invented in England in the 1950's. Which explains why the one I had in Cardiff was so disappointing whilst the rest of their coffees were fine.
I've also drunk coffee across Europe before I was. aware of the (re)introduction of flat white. And again the coffees were fine.
So not a universal rule.
