Off to Cardiff for a #TootWales thing! 🏴
Next up @michael@backend.newsmast.org is up talking about the launch of the Qlub app and the Tŵt app, and how US tech giants don't share the same community values of the towns and communities we live in. #TootWales
"Pages Creator Studio" is a stupid name for an app.
Today’s adventure: Nuremberg!
But, not Embedded World; some sightseeing.

This is a really fun (and informationally-valuable) project. Have you contributed?

@hpod16@eupolicy.social it might be better if this was a federation of platforms, than a single entity. We already *have* the social network here.
Two hours of meetings, followed by an hour of podcasting #EndOfTheWeek

Sorry can't help not helping! 😬
Coach to Cardiff broke.
Coach to Cardiff replaced.
Onwards!
Learned that Ken Boak has died. A nice man who created the Nanode (self-assembly Arduino-like), was super into retro and minimalist computing, and who indirectly re-ignited my interest in LEGO. Here’s a blog post that mentions him and Nanode, from way back in 2012. https://andypiper.co.uk/2012/01/16/makers-creativity-learning-lego-ftw/
Yay! The @oggcamp@mastodon.social main stage schedule is in draft form, and looking *really* fun and interesting! More to come soon!

@maddyteichmann@mastodon.social I am so happy to have you here, the Fediverse just got a bit better! Also, I did not know that you are a fellow #BoardGames fan... 🎲

Hey @liaizon@social.wake.st remind me where the source for Fedi Iconography is? Looking to add some logos (stegodon, ties, activitypub, fedi logos themselves).

@jtonline@mastodon.me.uk if you’ve got a clear 3d scan it would be fairly trivial. Not functional, mind.
Replying to on mastodon.me.uk
@jtonline@mastodon.me.uk it's more like a launch for the Tŵt app but otherwise yes very much not in Southampton or on that other thing.

@ExtKits@mstdn.social say hello to Barry and Neil from @hackwimbledon@mastodon.org.uk from me!

@mapache@hachyderm.io @badgefed I played around with something like this before Glitch shut down - basically an app which took the URLs for my fedi identities and created a page using the webfinger data for each of them, with tiles and links. Happy to have a look at your tool, this looks much nicer than my thing (and I'm hunting around trying to find the code for that now, and failing...)
Replying to on front-end.social
@sarajw@front-end.social I’ll be at a different event, in Cardiff - otherwise had planned to finally get to a SotB!

@viticci@mastodon.macstories.net @johnvoorhees@mastodon.macstories.net I can’t say I love that they “introduced [it] late yesterday” via a post on X, blergh. Could be useful though.

@ben@bluetoot.hardill.me.uk now that the work is done, I'm immediately switching provider from BT! How they can justify the pricing is mindblowing to me.

@maddyteichmann@mastodon.social IDK if you are into fiction, but Cory has some good novels that are often just as incisive as the non-fiction stuff.
Literally talked about hacking Star Trek communicator badges with @sammachin@chaos.social at the London #HomeAssistant meetup this evening, then read this https://hackaday.com/2026/02/25/control-your-smart-home-with-trek-inspired-comm-badge/

@thisismissem@hachyderm.io that is correct (as mentioned in the blog post).
