I’ve been reading actual books in my hands again. Right now I’m on The Will of the Many by James Islington. Enjoying it.
Just before it was The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow, which I loved.
Have any of you read anything good recently?
I did not like the first song, too flower poppy like but I’m enjoying the following songs.
The voice is ticklish but I can’t quite itch it to recognition.
For a moment there I got Dire Straits vibes…

I read a lot of King in my teens. I’ve always found his books much more deeply nuanced than could be transferred to movies.

My, pretty much only, favorite Prince song is „Joy in Repetition“, which I also only discovered much later than 1990.
Disco, Funk, R&B just totally passed me by.
70s Disco? No clue who that is…
I recall the Bee Gees growing up, I just never got the falsetto singing. For me it’s, the deeper the better. 🙃

@soundclamp@mastodon.xyz thanks for sharing. For me it was a mixed experience. I liked some and some I did not like at all. I’d have preferred if she did not sing in any high notes and some of the stuff was too non-melodic.
I really liked the bass guitar parts.

@BonfireAtNight I am only 230 pages in. It’s flowing along ok for me. I understand it needs the space for the world building. The second book, The Strength of the Few, in the trilogy is already out. But we will need to wait until 2027 for the third book, The Justice of One.
I feel I need to get a book holder as it is quite unwieldy in my hands. 🙃

If anyone has problems with Face ID after the 17.6.1 iOS update try a FORCE RESTART.
What worked for me, after also getting that recommended through Apple chat support, was a force restart.
Press and release on the left side of your phone the Volume Up button 1 second, then the Volume Down button 1 second (one after the other not at the same time) and finally press and hold the right side button until the Apple symbol appears. Do NOT use the Power Off slider.
I was able to reset my Face ID afterwards without any problems.
Shout out to Oscar my Apple service advisor! 🍎
