@feditips@mstdn.social following #hashtags is such a powerful feature that I hope it is moved to an obvious location, such as settings, and given more prominence. Otherwise, it will be very easy to overlook.

@feditips@mstdn.social it may be worth noting to the dev team that a majority of users coming over from Twitter will rarely log onto a desktop site, if ever. They’re all used to the mobile apps having a richer experience, not the other way around. That's certainly not to say a rich desktop experience is wrong or bad, but I mean most people I know don't even own devices that can access a desktop site anymore.

One annoying thing I’ve found is when you’re typing a hashtag it auto generates suggestions in alphabetical order based on your typing- so often brings up badly spelled one’s first. Could it generate them based on usage rather than. Alphabetical order? #Mastodon

I'm on mastodon.social, and I searched on #Trump and the results are limited to the last 2 days and there is no hashtag at all for #Trump. Am I doing something wrong. (I also tried this for 5 other people I research and see the same results)

@feditips@mstdn.social @Tusky@mastodon.social now how do I search a specific hashtag without being offered all embellishments except the hashtag itself? For example, search #football will bring up #FootballHistory , #FootballWorldCupTickets , etc. I usually have to scroll all the way down to find plain #football.. or worse, selecting those other hashtag in hope to find the plain one next to it.
