The number of bands and artists I’ve discovered is amazing and I’m fickle, go through phases, and generally all over the place with my music taste. I just wish the artists were paid better. I currently use Tidal and am open to suggestions.

@kimlockhartga@beige.party It will take at least 20 years for the USA to go back to normal, if you (US citizens) make sure you lock up all MAGA people behind bars. Also, in 5 years, you will not be able to go anywhere, because the rest of the World will put you under quarantine, due to preventable diseases running rampant. You will have to produce vaccination certificates to go through any frontier. Finally, if you believe the mid-terms are going to change anything, you are completely naive.

Organic is overrated. and for truly unpopular around here: LLMs are useful, actually, and less of an environmental (and ethical) crime than meat and dairy. To finish on a lighter one: cheesecake is not good cheese, and not good cake, and should be ditched entirely. (Everyone should be vegan anyway, but that's not part of the light take).

@kimlockhartga@beige.party The Beatles are over-rated - they are a pretty good demo band for the admittedly brilliant songwriting team of Lennon and McCartney, but there isn't a single Beatles song where their version is my favourite. And it's the same with Elvis, although he sang other peoples songs - I prefer other peoples versions of his songs.

The time gained by the pitch clock and throwovers to first is lost due to these. I grant the close steals at second, but most of this is a waste of time. Dudes did actually play meaningful baseball before these enhancements.
