Hundreds of thousands of people joined coordinated pro-Palestine marches worldwide on Saturday to condemn Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza and stand with Palestinians living under Israeli apartheid in the occupied West Bank. The Global Alliance for Palestine said the mobilisation involved at least 325 events worldwide, including 176 in Europe alone. Organisers estimated that around 250,000 people joined the London march. CAMPAIGNERS from Stop Rosebank, Fossil Free London, Christian Climate Action and Greenpeace demonstrated outside the Department for Energy and Net Zero today to protest against the Rosebank oil field.Protesters depicted “heaven” and “hell” futures, demanding Prime Minister Andy Burnham reject new oil and gas fields.Some wore light clothing holding “clouds” to represent a safe, liveable future, while others in dark clothing held “flames” to symbolise a burning dystopia.
