Photos from last Thursday and this evening of the weekly protest for Gaza at Assen railway station. Last week we were pot banging, as we do most weeks. This week we listened in silence as names of Palestinians killed by the Israelis were read out. Each name is read out with the age of the deceased. In one hour we had time only for a small fraction of the dead. There's time to remember only a few hundred out of the tens of thousands who have been killed. Clearly many people were touched by the message, especially when they heard the names of young children. Many people took leaflets. Hopefully many of them will at the very least be prepared to join the boycott of Israeli goods. Who wouldn't be affected by the murder of infants ? #potbangingforgaza #assen #bds #boycottisrael #israeliWarCrimes #palestine #gaza

This evening a group of us once more protested for Palestine and against the Israeli genocide outside Assen railway station. This happens outside all Dutch railway stations (or at least many of them) from 18:00 until 19:00, every Thursday. Thinking as always of the many people suffering from Israel's and the USA's genocidal violence, be they in Gaza, the West Bank, Iran, Lebanon, Syria or any other land undergoing war and occupation. #potbangingforgaza #Gaza #Palestine #IsraeliWarCrimes #IsraelTerroristState #Assen #bds #BDSIsrael #BDSUSA

This is the last Thursday of the month so our protest at Assen railway station was in silence apart from the reading of names and ages of Palestinians killed by Israel. All the deaths are tragedies, but it hits harder when the ages are those of children and infants. #gaza #palestine #assen #protestforgaza #IsraeliWarCrimes #bds #BDSIsrael #BDSUSA

Every other Saturday (the odd week numbers) there's a demo for Palestine in Groningen. I rode my bike up there today to take part and met a friend who I rode part way home with. #groningen #gaza #palestine #demo #israeliwarCrimes #bds #bdsisrael #bdsusa

Today's protest in Groningen. This happens on the Waagstraat between 13:00 and 14:00, every other Saturday (odd / oneven week numbers). It's a quiet demo, not a noisy demo like at the railway station. If you want to join in you just need to turn up. There are lots of signs that you can borrow if you want to hold one. Everyone is friendly. I know that many people feel unable to do anything about the awful situation in Palestine. Protesting and refusing Israeli products are two of the best things that individuals can do. #gaza #palestine #groningen #israeliWarCrimes #IsraelTerroristState #bds #bdsisrael

Tonight's demo in Assen railway station for Palestine and Gaza. On the last Thursday of the month we read names of the people who have been killed by the Israelis as part of their continuing genocide of the Palestinian people. A lot of people wait and listen, take information and promise to boycott Israeli goods. It's one of the few options that we have as individuals which can make a difference. #palestine #gaza #assen #israeliwarcrimes #israelterroristState #bds #bdsisrael #genocide #israeligenocide

Today's protest for Gaza and Palestine at the railway station in Assen. The genocide continues. Israel is still killing innocent people for no reason other than that they can. The world is watching, and doing almost nothing about it. But you can be part of a movement against this crime of crimes: Don't buy Israeli goods. Vote for politicians who at the very least talk about Palestine. #bds #bdsisrael #gaza #palestine #israeliwarcrimes #genocide

Today's protest for Gaza and Palestine in Groningen. A lot of people took information. It's clear that the majority do want action to be taken against Israel. Most people do not want to support a genocide. Boycott Israel. All their products, not just the ones from illegally occupied Palestinian land. Products from illegally occupied land will already be illegal to sell in the Netherlands from later this month, but that's not enough. #gaza #palestine #groningen #genocide #israeliWarCrimes #boycottIsrael #bds #bdsisrael

So Mr Ed claims in a statement that he's apolitical but about 10 seconds later, there was tons of responses about his overwhelming support for Ukraine and he even recorded a song with Bono about the war! Sheeran features on the second verse of "Yours Eternally," a song inspired by Ukrainian soldier and musician Taras Topolia. #freepalesti̇ne #fuckIsreal #fromtherivertothesea #palestine #israeliWarCrimes #KickThemOut #EdSheeran #Macklemore

“In late May he was transferred from Ketziot prison to the Ganot prison complex and put in solitary confinement without explanation, Odeh said. Abu Safiya described an attack there by guards using hammers and batons, shortly after appearing via video link at a supreme court appeal hearing challenging his detention. He was then moved to the Rakefet facility on 24 June, where Odeh noted a severe and dangerous deterioration in his condition. “His physical and psychological state, the severe injuries visible on his body, and his personal testimony leave no room for doubt: his life is in immediate danger.” Abu Safiya appeared frightened, distressed and reluctant to speak freely in the meeting, Odeh said, but told his lawyer that he was subjected to daily beatings in the Rakefet jail, and had lost consciousness several times as a result. #Israel #IsraeliWarCrimes #Netanyahu #CrimesAgainstHumanity #Genocide #UN #ICJ #ICC

We remember #Guernica and #OradourSurGlane as testaments to the evil in our societies—places where the lives of innocent people were deemed irrelevant, and where that evil consumed those who could not fight back. Do we include #Gaza in that list of ghost towns? Of course we do. But unlike the atrocities of the past, we can defend the innocent, destroy the evil, and stop it forever. #freepalesti̇ne #DeathToTheIDF #Boycott #Ban #fromtherivertothesea #palestine #israeliWarCrimes #DeportIsraelis
