yuki - queen of the snow

@eniko@mastodon.gamedev.place @ShadowJonathan@tech.lgbt @yassie_j@labyrinth.zone looks like that repo is headed the same way in 3 months

@Mab_813 @rapsneezy2 @Kdude @EUCommission fyiw, i didn't do Erasmus+, but attended most information meetings at my university about it- on top of whatever scholarship funding you get from your home country, Erasmus lets you get extra funding while abroad and to pay for travel to/fro the country you're studying in. the rich parents option would be to just register at the university you want to go to abroad as a regular EU citizen tbh

@sashin@veganism.social @davidgerard@circumstances.run @navi@social.vlhl.dev i cannot promise anything, i have no hardware experience, but i would really love to keep my laptop forever, so i would really want to make this a reality

@trafotin@vt.social @TheEvilSkeleton@social.treehouse.systems i know about this, and it’s handy, but i think i’d also like to have the ability for the flatpak CLI to prompt me about something like: org.mozilla.Firefox provides the 'firefox' command. Do you want to set up the 'firefox' command to start org.mozilla.Firefox? [Y/n] and saying yes would ln -s /var/lib/flatpak/exports/bin/org.mozilla.Firefox /var/lib/flatpak/exports/bin/firefox

@vavakado@mas.to sameeee so comfy

@bagder well, this graph also shows a number of graphs, sooo… make it 2

@pink@norden.social @marcohackney@todon.eu well, in my experience, it works abroad, but you only get like ~10% of the data you can use at home, sooo

@marcohackney@todon.eu what does the second image mean? free mobile data roaming? I've never had that on any of my phone plans!

@allpurposemat@mastodon.gamedev.place well, i can tell you from my experience on linux running kde and gnome, i never faced any issue using fish with this setup!

@rexxdeane@mastodon.online @VTDARKSIM@toot.community @aphyr@woof.group for actual alternatives, look at forgejo!

@zeborah@mastodon.nz @BathysphereHat@mastodon.online @ljrk@todon.eu oh, thank you very much for the precisions! i have no first hand experience here, i just mostly parroted what i heard in a lecture about academic publishing, that i probably misunderstood

@a_fine_day@todon.eu @Yuvalne@433.world i would assume it applies to anyone under the protection of whatever the legal authority in germany for enforcing the gdpr is - you'd most likely need to be primarily residing in germany for it to take effect

@ljrk@todon.eu @BathysphereHat@mastodon.online as far as i know, you retain copyright of the text of your article when publishing, so you could just set up a free download on your website of an article with the same text as published, but formatted differently

@socketwench the main gripe i have is that it's a single file, which can get pretty heavy if there's a lot of content this encourages people to not put everything in their rss feed, which, sucks

@BathysphereHat@mastodon.online also: sometimes libraries have access to academic articles! check if your local library does that. if it doesn't, check if your national library does in france, you can get a researcher pass at the national public library for €55/year (€35/year for students, free for disabled people), that gives you access to most journals through their proxy.

@yassie_j @domi @kuriko jansen, i am glad to finally hear from you. i hope you're having a good time in hastoria or wherever if is you are living

@pink@norden.social @marcohackney@todon.eu i am inside the eu tho- sorry that was maybe unclear at home = Ireland (republic of) in my case in the eu = anywhere in the union but ireland, in my case, france

@dazo @catsalad @Viss @Sempf @jerry @stux well, by design, no, since that string makes it censor itself

@thatgalsilver@zoner.work @s0@cathode.church ah yes, insecure OTPs vs. Secure OTPs … bweh

hello i am VISIBLE please BOOST if you see me

@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt @bujold@dice.camp that's how i'd do it (for reference, i'm 22)

@navi@social.vlhl.dev @davidgerard@circumstances.run so that means you *can* make framework-compatibles..? tbh i would like some day to just, take their word for it and start selling framework-compatible... well, everything. i bought this computer on the premise it was an open platform, and i wish i had more time to take advantage of that

@kuriko nextcloud + davx5 to sync + fossify calendar for events, jtxboard for tasks

@lina@vt.social also the whole argument falls appart when companies don't even pay for a single copy of the work they're using to train on-

@analog_feelings @ShadowJonathan just clear ~/.cache/mesa or whatever :D

@KiwiEV@mastodon.nz its all a question of resource allocation and priorities!

@pink@norden.social @marcohackney@todon.eu volume! my current plan has unlimited data at home, but only 20gb/month in the EU

@BathysphereHat@mastodon.online also also: check if your local university library allows walk-in access for non-students, if so, you might be able to just grab a paperback copy of the journal from the shelves

@allpurposemat@mastodon.gamedev.place I don’t want to set my system default shell to fish as it’s not POSIX-compliant, and would much prefer to only have interactive sessions (kgx and possibly ssh) launch with it. i believe chsh is the way to go for this, it’s the unix command to change your user’s login shell

@mcc@mastodon.social @mary@chaos.social making and deploying an apk then there’s some question why you’re using react native at all. usually those frameworks are used for cross-platform development, so you would make both an ios and android app from the same codebase as far as i know from my vague understanding of the ecosystem, Expo is supposed to be more of a quick and dirty playground rather than something ready to ship

@dazo @catsalad @jerry @Sempf @Viss @stux no but like (i assume) they have a layer between the actual LLM and the user-facing text, doing processing, and if it contains that string, replaces whatever response the LLM provided with a blocked message

@acidiclight@mastodon.social @TheEvilSkeleton@social.treehouse.systems pigeon spikes are pointy/sharp bits you stick on upper grounds or railings of buildings where you don't want pigeons/birds to sit
