mastodon 4.7.3I'm an old Canadian and an old Phart too. 😁 I take life as seriously as the current situation requires. I block cross-posts from X, Truth Social and Bluesky. Not interested in them. Any toots I post, that are not in English, are via online translator. I like baking, and getting baked. :-)
I do *NOT* DM with with anyone I haven't interacted with in public. Saying "Hi", without anything else, doesn't count.
Pictures I post are Copyright © Their Respective Owners.

@teadrinker@aus.social I've never heard of Barry's. I'll browse around their website later.

@ArdentArchivist@archaeo.social @libreoffice@fosstodon.org I use LibreOffice, more for Writer than the rest of the bundle. No grief with it, other than the grief I cause. 😏

I paid the regular price of €36 per year. It worked out to around CA$4.95 per month the day I got it. I said "the day I got it" because of the fluctuation in exchange rates.
That I can afford.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social I was using LibreOffice when I was proofreading a community newspaper, since the files were in MS Word format. I sent the fixed versions back. I got an email one day from the editor of the newspaper asking how I could keep all the formatting of the .DOC files while being smaller in size, byte-wise. He was surprised at what I was using.
I still use LibreOffice for one thing and another. A fine piece of software.

@nini@oldbytes.space @BrianJopek@mastodon.world True enough, although Obama didn't have to wait 4 years to be be re-elected. However, his base is nowhere near the same as the other one's. Obama's base has functioning brains, for the most part.

LibreOffice is also a decent alternative. It's my go to, and does everything I'm after.

It's the same thing for me. I could have waited too.

@mike@thecanadian.social What Poilievre doesn't seem to realize is that if Alberta separates, he, and the rest of the Alberta MPs, would all need to go elsewhere and do more by-elections. Those senators from Alberta would have to move too, and possibly be reappointed.
I thought I'd have to get a new IPTV provider, since I couldn't connect to the one I have. As it turns out, there was a glitch somewhere along the line. Something was fixed somewhere because the provider is back amongst the living again. 👍
