I’m cynical enough to think the Iran war will end soon as a “victory” and focus will be shifted to a new illegal “war” with Cuba.

NASA wants to build a base on the moon. This way astronauts have access to food, water, and shelter there.
I think it’s a great idea and a good use of resources. I’d add though, that I’d like those options available to everyone on earth too.
