I'm 18+ of age; those below 18 **please** don't interact with anything lewd or sexual (if I ever post any, which I won't)
I love Walkmans and have quite the collection
a bit of interest in computers and technology but repulsive to generative-AI and other hyper-capitalistic garbage
I adore public transit and would absolutely nerd out about it at will (as well as advocate for it)
Am currently in the process of building an OC universe called the "Frihet Galactic Universe!", basically the real world but with lots of twists! beware because I'll infodump about that too
btw, free 🇵🇸, 🇸🇩, 🇨🇩, 🇺🇦 and all other occupied and colonised societies; also queer, BIPOC, and women's rights are human rights
Go fuck off (don't interact w/ me) if you're one of these: Nazis/neo-Nazis, white supremacists, Zionists, antisemitists, pedophiles, zoophiles, tankies, corporate or billionaire bootlickers, or just about anyone who's just looking to cause trouble and be a bigot or annoy the hell out of me and anyone else. If you can't read nor understand this, then that's your problem and not mine.

(really hate how Bloomberg always locks their articles as always) even if they're debating on the matter, I'm still as skeptical about this as I am with Meta and would still not trust Apple's privacy claims over smart glasses

@CrebboElodie@transfem.social newpipe actually works on smart TVs (if they run Android TV of course) but is a bit wonky with navigation through a remote from what i’ve tested before
also it’s most likely you’ll have to install a file manager, upload the apk to a cloud provider, and then retrieve said apk from the cloud through the file manager (it’s a bit of a mouthful, sorry). or you can just install F-Droid through this method and then get the youtube clients, like newpipe, from there
there’s also just putting the APKs on a flash or hard drive and plugging it into the TV, provided you have any of those lying around

@CrebboElodie@transfem.social does it have like a settings app built-in? cause then it should have something like “System” as an option and then what OS its running
if it were like a Samsung TV, they run their own OS called “Tizen”, whereas if you have a TV box or any other TV manufacturer that advertises being smart, it would most likely run Android
