Maybe someone who knows more about #federation might be able to help me here: So my single-user #Pixelfed instance is sitting on a 20GB PSQL database after just one year. Is there any way to make this more viable in the long term, like getting rid of old post info I got like 1 year ago from other servers? Or any other way to improve the storage efficiency here? It just feels weird that the database is using up more storage at this point then the image files saved on this instance…

@MonaApp@mastodon.social I submitted a suggestion a few weeks ago to have like a pipeline for reposts and likes, so they don’t get lost if the connection is lost for a few minutes (like in the subway sometimes). Is that coming in a future update?

@FliZi Wir haben direktes Sonnenlicht mit den Wolle-Seide-Sachen bisher immer vermieden, weil das nicht so gut für die Stoffe sein soll 😬 aber ja, bei den Stoffwindeln war ich auch immer beeindruckt, wie viel Farbe die Sonne noch aus dem Stoff wieder rausbekommen hat 😂

@shlee@aus.social @dansup@mastodon.social there seems to be an issue again with federated activities. Neither likes nor shares from other servers are showing up as notifications and there is also just the ActivityHandler, but no LikePipeline or SharePipeline running.

But it also should be very transparent to both admins and users what regulations are in place and also how to enable/disable or change them. An admin should not have to search your mastodon profile to find information about this kind of thing
