A macro photo of the very centre of a tulip, whilst I'm a sucker for macro photography of any flowers, there's something particularly special about the tulip.

I am absolutely ecstatic to announce that not only do I have a new album out now, but it's just been featured in Bandcamp Daily's Essential Releases!
The album is mostly composed just using the very unique Bastl Thyme digital tape machine.

I saw the thumbnail and thought, hey that looks suspiciously like the visuals I saw by the performer after the Grischa Lichtenberg concert last night.
Turns out I saw Wolf Parkinson 😂

@Em0nM4stodon@infosec.exchange I wrote to all relevant EU ministers. Have only got one reply thus far (they sounded quite against it, although strangely didn't actually say which way they're voting)

@maxleibman@beige.party I got two unsolicited and very detailed/specific mails last week. One from an art project asking if I wanted to be involved, the other from a record label asking me if I wanted to release with them.
I of course instantly assumed it was a very intricate scam.
Did a load of digging around, and well, came to the conclusion that these were actually genuine mails. Couldn't quite believe it. This never happens.

@DarkGalloway@mastodon.scot @JeanieBurrell@mstdn.social I'm seeing some sort of dragon, possibly making me think of The Never-ending Story

@tsrono@mastodon.social @sideb0ard@post.lurk.org Grischa and the guitarist, Peter Meyer, were very interesting - found myself getting quite sucked in to their soundscapes.
I found Wolf Parkinson a bit too coldly technical for my liking. Interesting sound design, but it always felt more like a study of technical possibilities, a deconstruction of aspects of a song - rather than something that one could feel an emotional reaction to.
The visuals were also nice, but again felt more like a technical exercise to me

@fes@mastodon.ie I love this cover image.
It does however make me think of untangling a cassette tape 😂

@Mer__edith@mastodon.world I was expecting https://status.signal.org/ to show some sort of indication of there being an issue but it just says everything is working. It was my first port of call when I saw messages weren't sending for me.
Downdetector seems to provide a more realistic picture.

@dalegphoto lovely! May I ask how come focus stacking and also using f13? I would have thought everything would be in focus at f13.
I've only ever done focus stacking on ultramacro stuff, so curious about the non macro approach 😊

@ada@beige.party amen to that. I remember clients asking me to disable right click functionality so people "can't steal our content". I would patiently explain all the reasons that was a terrible idea.
I'm quite happy to not be web developing any more though.

@x7557x@fff.fo.am It can be so hard - the notifications come thick and fast and I try to pay attention to them, but often it is very tough to give everything the time it deserves.

@jrp yeah unfortunately I find the "smart link" is the best option as the majority of people aren't doing digital downloads (and Bandcamp doesn't let me link out to versions outside of Bandcamp). It's a bit of a pain, but seems the best way to deal with the fragmented landscape we face.
As to what the music is. I guess ambient experimental? I'm never sure what to call the things I do 😁
