Sometimes you need to see a story where someone else has responded to people trying to undermine them. . . by achieving resounding success.
In this case, she compounded the success by turning her ribbons from wins at quilting shows into a quilt, too.

The richest man owns X.
The second and fourth richest men control Google.
The third richest man owns The Washington Post.
The sixth richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
And now the seventh richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros.
See the problem here?
The tariffs roll in a cascade. Smaller businesses were hurt, and they fear more coming their way.
Most of them don't expect to get back the tariffs they paid. 🥺

This is writer Ken Brady's BIL. Don is a sweet man with a chronic disease (MS) he works around; he's an ink man who runs Newport Tattoo in Newport, Oregon. He was viciously attacked while walking his dog. It sounds like it's a miracle he survived.
Any boost on this would be wonderful. Thank you for reading. #GFM
Even if you feel you are "up" on recognizing email scams, you want to read this article. Because scammers are leveling up.
As always, not panicking and reacting too fast is key.
All her life, orphaned Wren hoped for an adventure. With, say, a kidnapped princess, a handsome prince, and a magician.
Turns out the princess was hiding at an orphanage, the prince is a youngest son, and the magician is. . . "new."
This isn't your average fairy tale!
WREN TO THE RESCUE by Sherwood Smith is the first of Wren's tales.

Best commentary I've found so far about the cruise ship and startling Andes hantavirus events. In the US, we can't rely on our public health experts right now because HHS has hamstrung them.
So--if in public, in close quarters, for a few months? If you know yourself to be a risk population, have close ones who are, or are hyper-immune? Masking is probably wise.

Wait--you didn't think Sherwood Smith & Dave Trowbridge could pull together a 5 book, galaxy-spanning epic space opera with coups, humor, & universe-destroying artifacts?

Very much recommended. #books
Continue to be surprised by life.
It's actually not only life-affirming, it's life changing!
TIL about airglow, something named back in the mid-1800s. (Humans understood it was real for a long time, Aristotle & Pliny talked about it happening.)
On those faint color nights? It may not be an aurora in the sky. It may be airglow.
Space battles, political in-fighting, & personal struggles ramp up the stakes in THE RIFTER'S COVENANT, the rewritten 4th volume in the EXORDIUM series. Now in #ebook & #print from #BookViewCafe.

Re-upping this because this is a week for reading both the silly and the strong.
Sometimes, those ideas are the same thing.
Well.
I'm not the only person having migraines from Liquid Glass. I've tried everything in this article.
Tomorrow I go look at various Android phones. I can't wait for Apple. The migraine halo around the oval of my face is firing off my TMN.

This is very discouraging. I don't know what the board was thinking, choosing an MBA mentality to take over running Wikipedia.
But I don't support union busters.

I realize that with satellite, with cell towers and the public further into the arboreal forests, we might think that fire watchers aren't needed anymore.
But satellites can be turned off without warning. We have seen cell towers go down.
And I find that I feel a little safer knowing that the sharp eyes of a knowledgeable human being are out there in the wilderness, watching for change. #FireWatch
If you haven't started on air purifying plans for this year, keep in mind that a C-R box is a cheap way to make a good filtration device. Be ready for wildfires, because as dry as it is, we know smoke is coming our way.
I don't know if I can wait this long--I may be a dedicated Android user by then, or a person who never uses anything except the phone of my iPhone.
But for others, the ability to tone down Liquid Glass may save their relationship with Apple's phones.
Apparently The Common Good afa infection is concerned is in trouble.
Take care of yourselves.

Okay, confession.
Life, Interrupted has been ARGH for so long I have never looked at the Requests section. So if you didn't catch me when I Requested your account, I didn't see it.
Maybe that can be remedied in the next few months. All depends on whether I can hold off an Apple upgrade to a new OS on this machine.
Liquid Glass is AAARRRGGHHHH in the pain department. . . .
Let Big Picture Science explain why beavers can revitalize watersheds, rivers, and our forests. How they can help us withstand drought & climate change. #BigPictureScience
Love this podcast! I always leave an episode with new knowledge & hope.
For your Iron Age Dreams. . . .
Captain America's famous speech, "No, you move," given back to him in one timeline by Peggy's sister, is based on Mark Twain. (As I understand it. NOT caught up on the universe.)
A good week to read it, and its origins.
Honestly, this removes a huge advantage to Netflix. The ability to try LOTS of things, a flat rate, no ads, easy access & Search--
That's all gone now, right? Are all the services no longer serving their customers? 🙁
Old legends are true. Seeds can "hear" rain!

If you're going to read about Jenny Larson, The Bloggess, speaking at the LoC during the National Book Festival? Expect that her speech, & everything leading up to or away from it, will be . . . furiously happy. Terrified. And pretending it never happened.
With a #LoC card.
Enjoy. 🙃
Just breathe.
