@bearmine@gamepad.club yeah there's that too. I have a mix of Corp, treasury and intl though, and some longer CDs
Well, first attempt to #3dprint with tpu95 a and seems to have completely clogged up. Bit annoying

@bearmine@gamepad.club dang it, I saw a good breakdown of this once, I think it was optical = disc, everything else = disk. But now everything just says use whatever it doesn't matter.
Taking my city's light rail train for the first time, they added a new line that goes to my work (but nowhere near where I live unfortunately). I won't get to use it a ton but this is fun.

@bearmine@gamepad.club oo, your post prompted me to double check, I should be able to get gig service now for the same price I'm currently paying for 200mbps. Gotta call them up tomorrow and see
Dang it, I don't need extra Dewalt batteries, but there's a heck of a sale right now on woot...
Time for my annual-ish return to #Fallout 4 and once again completely forgetting how to set up mods...
Heck yeah, new season (sorry, series) of Taskmaster. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRfHA2d3DhM

@bearmine@gamepad.club Given other star trek licensing things going on, the devs may have not really known.
Replying to
@bearmine@gamepad.club yeah, Resurgence got ~2 years though, hoping there's a minimum to the license like that.
Replying to
Very much felt like a classic Trek storyline, playthrough was ~11-12 hours

@bearmine@gamepad.club yeah no more purchasing, I think it is supposed to stay in your library though. Still up for today, but their last message sounded like it is gone very soon.

@scopique I feel like a lot of lessons they learned with conan exiles went right out the window, that game really embraced solo+creative play and had a second wave of interest. Never mind that pvp in general is just toxic these days.

@Gazimoff either the barebones, or leaning to the 24gb model so I can run parallels with a bit of headroom. It won't be a primary device so I don't need much storage, but given ssd prices today their upcharge isn't so bad.
Darn it, the refurb mac minis sold out before I could get home. Although maybe I should be happy that 2fa saved my wallet...
First snow of the season, in March... Not weird at all
Replying to
@bearmine@gamepad.club yeah, also learned AMD has abandoned my gpu rather early, last driver was over a year ago. I'm hoping this doesn't become a pattern.

@bearmine@gamepad.club Radeon 6800, says launched in 2020 but it was unobtanium for like 2+ years there. I got it in 2023.

@bearmine@gamepad.club stainless would be silver, but bronze/brass/copper is an option. Maybe I've done too much remodeling but Nickel is also one that came to mind.

Well, looking like maybe no, was hoping it would recognize my laptop docking station but no. It does work over usb-c to the monitor, and recognizes the usb hub it has

This looks fun, but not $60 fun... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvDXZ1kzEO4
Feel like I set a rule for myself a long time ago that I wouldn't pay more than $20 for something with no storyline.

@scopique Yeah, I'll be keeping a close eye on the Voyager game. I hope they get at least a couple years, but I expect the same to happen.
PSA: Some good free #games on Twitch Prime right now including Rebel Galaxy and Rebel Galaxy Outlaws, both redeem on GoG.

@stargrace@gamepad.club one of the few games I think we grabbed most all the dlc for. Kiddo is a big fan

I think it cropped the headline, apparently their new version is infatuated with goblins and other critters. It's forever a toddler...

@Gazimoff@gamepad.club I can't really stand that gentleman, but if I may offer counterpoints.
The universe is nearly 14 billion years old, by recent observations/estimates there were life capable stars around just 200 million years after that.
We base most of our rules around what we know of life on earth today, most models don't really account well for moons/etc (of which there are so many more out there). And there's signs indicating suitable environments for life on 2 of those moons in our system.

@josey I really like these, but they're just so much more money. Not to mention a victim of their own success and often sell out.
Replying to
@josey upside maybe, their comments made it sound like they're open to having us rewrite their test plan. More work for me but would fix a lot of issues we're having.
A baking recipe shouldn't call for more sugar than flour right? Like, that must be a typo... right!? The variations are just mad, between 2 tablespoons and 3 cups depending what site you're on.

@bearmine@gamepad.club lots of "AI" stocks have taken a hit, which makes me happy, but they'd also infiltrated into almost all the ETFs I hold, which makes me sad. Nvidia pays a pittance of a dividend, I'm ticked it's the top holding on my dividend fund

@Gazimoff@gamepad.club Life is also extremely tenacious. The Earth has gone through 5 major extinction events and dozens of smaller ones.
Personally, I am near certain there's life out there, however, the challenge, I don't know if we'll ever find it. The chance of us overlapping at the same time, and within range of radio waves or other observable methods is so incredibly small.
God retail WoW is such a mess, level scaling broke so many things (can't use the SW portals until level 30!?), they just throw every expansion at you at once it seems, and crafting makes zero sense anymore. Hunters are a completely different class now, and they sapped all the fun from them.
I was hyped up for Midnight and housing, but I'm just going to skip.
I've had a Cassini image as my desktop background for some time, might mix it up now https://www.nasa.gov/gallery/lunar-flyby/ #artemis

@scopique@gamepad.club lol, there's an open box 13" near me, 24/512 for $950 that I'm eyeing
Currently staring at Civ 7 on Steam. The new patch looks good, sounds like they fixed many of the things that turned me away at launch. But... even with the sale it is $42, and I still feel burned by Civ 6.

Even weirder, the demo was perfectly fine.
Trying to sort my mp3 collection, going back... 20 years? And good lord the old tools I used made a mess of things.
Doing this mostly manually because of that, I know of a few newer tools, tempted to make a copy of everything and give them a try.
Having someone completely ignore prior feedback as 'randomizing' and then show up to a meeting today, with the revelation that their team did redundant work 8x over without being asked to, and saying 'I don't know why they're doing this'...
Hmm, Two Point Museum on sale, tempting...
