  @tarmoamer@est.social @Nonya_Bidniss I don't think many would claim it's a "final" answer, but just another piece of the puzzle in understanding how we got here, and how life on other planets might form. It's certainly true that even a definitive proof of panspermia would simply lead to the follow-up question of, "OK, well how did life form outside of Earth?", and that probably the answer to that will just lead to another similar quest...

  Modeling out some upgrades for my Marimba - primarily some new 3d printed keyposts and a new set of 3d printed resonators. The bass resonators replicate as closely as I can manage the SST resonator tech used by Malletech. I considered playing around with Haskelling like Marimba One uses, but ultimately decided to keep it simple and stick with "normal" tubes.

  Trying to figure out a good use case for the action button on my #iphone I currently just have it open my audiobook app, but that feels like such a waste.. I’ve got a #homeassistant server, so the #homeautomation usecases are endless.. What I really wish was that there was a non-hacky way to support different types of inputs (single press, double click, long press, etc). Any ideas? #iOS #automation #Apple

  Just got back from the podiatrist - apparently my persistent ankle pain is caused by a stress fracture from #running and am now in a boot with orders to keep weight bearing to an absolute minimum 😬 So no #cycling #running, or even walking without crutches This with a baby due literally any day now as well - not idea to say the least #injury #fitness

  Finally got the pitch adjustment mechanism working for my Dobsonian Fine aiming system! My goal is to have it sit entirely on the existing Dobsonian mount so that I can still use it as normal, but use the system to achieve much more precise aiming than the usual "tap it until it moves" method of precision aiming with dobs 😅 #3dprinting #astrophotography #astronomy
