  The number of countries where I've been on a train that caught fire has just increased this week. Nobody got hurt, but it got pretty close with some people getting so pissed over the delay they were ready to lynch the policemen, firefighters and those who called 112...

  Do you have any examples of sticky headers that shrink when you start scrolling? In the wild, demos, whatever, any examples... Stuff like a bigger logo/ heading, but then when starting to scroll, it all shrinks up. If you don't know of any, boosts appreciated. Thank you! 🙏

  Stupid #a11y question. What is best to use for each release of a discography page? Each release element contains the cover art, album name, release date and type (full-length studio album, single, live, etc.). Should this element be a `figure` with the text info in the `figcaption`? Should it be an `article` with the name being a heading? Should it be a `li`? What is best? Any good resources on this? #accessibility #html

  RE: https://front-end.social/@kizu/116844135311018071 Asked here because search made me come across so many crappy ways to do this... 😭 So boosting an approach without any of the issues I've seen over and over.

  I can't stand the smell of pizza, but here's yet another "why in Satan's name was this even necessary?!" (just like the "remove child before washing" t-shirt label)

  Hey, found another fraud taking @codepen demos, copy-pasting the screenshot and code with no mention it's someone else's work. Oh, bonus, there's a script detecting ad blockers. Yeah, fuck off! My original from years before https://codepen.io/thebabydino/pen/bGwYVOm With a *real* explanation linked. #CSS

  2026 is probably going to be my first year in almost a decade (if the 2020-21 live streams count) that I don't see Insomnium live, but... 2027, please let me see this tour (with Amorphis too!) and The Halo Effect one... 🥺

  RE: https://mastodon.social/@webstandards_dev/116413800095890369 I mean... especially if you *don't* use AI for your work because... well, it's not exactly producing quality output and you have more self-respect than to put your name on crap... fill it in to put *that* out there.

  #tinyCSStip Sometimes, if you notice a teeny tiny misalignment and you cannot understand why because *nothing* in your CSS looks like it could have caused it... try using `round()` to round to an integer number of pixels. It just solved my own tiny misalignment problem that was driving me batty. 🦇 #CSS #cssMaths #code #coding #frontend #web #dev #webDevelopment #webDev

  ✨ `:has()` boolean logic ✨ 💫 OR - use comma-separated values inside `:has()` 💫 AND - use chained `has()` selectors You can play with it here https://codepen.io/thebabydino/pen/KKeMLja #css #tinyCodingTips #CodePen

  If you have a YouTube channel, I am begging you to turn off the auto-dubbing option for your vids once & for all from your settings. Your viewers don't have the option to turn it off for all videos they see. They have to do it for every damn auto-dubbed video every time it plays. AI voice annoyance aside, translations are bad (if even I can tell they're bad for languages I half-understand, they're BAD) when they even are at all. At times it chokes and there&...
