  I'm about 90% sure this is the spot some neighborhood kids and I pronounced as our fort more than 40 years ago. The trees have grown a lot, and it was harder to get to the spot than I recall. (The other candidate tree was only feet away, but too close to the edge of the steep bank to be likely).   Paid one last visit to the Penniman Road swamp today before I head back south tomorrow. The hill is opposite the swamp. I've hiked up there many times. The narrow strip of grass at the bottom is the former location of my grandfather's schoolhouse a century ago. Most people who drive by here have no idea of its history.   Got back from my trip, and proceeded to import photos into Exposure X7. There haven't been any updates to the software for ~2 years. I had assumed Exposure was now abandonware. To my surprise, they've released 2 updates over the past two months! It's encouraging to see signs of life from them again.   My cheap, new Android tablet arrives today! I found one with decent ratings and specs that I plan to use primarily as a reading device for Hoopla and Libby. The old 5th generation iPad that I bought refurbished back in 2019 has gotten long in the tooth, and can't run the current Hoopla app. I used to use the iPad for occasional photo editing, but I never loved editing on a tablet, and truly despised the clunky Photos app. #GoodbyeApple

  I tolerate using gestures for navigating on my work iPhone because I have to, but I really don't like swiping all the time on my personal phone. It's clumsy, and I usually have to try more than once. I've re-enabled the "old school" navigation buttons at the bottom of the Android screen, as the good lord intended.

  Fujifilm has come a long way with the reliability of their phone app. It used to be an exercise in frustration getting it to work with their cameras at all. I just paired both of my cameras with the app on my new phone, and I didn't say one bad word in the process! #Fujifilm

  Migrating to the new phone has turned into a day long event. A lot of the reason is SMS Backup and Restore trying to process thousands of old texts as it restores them. I probably need to go through those and do some digital housekeeping. 🤔

  The Bearded IT Dad is possibly the worst online instructor I've ever seen. He uses the same relentless, nasal tone every time he speaks, and never breaks the droning with aside comments, or explanations that aren't in his script. Even worse, the material consists of listicles with barely a breather, so I have to constantly roll back the video to get what he just said. #LinkedInLearning
