Have to head inside for a few hours due to heat and air quality. I am *so close* to getting some larger garden tasks done but everyday they are still a bit further away. Will go back out tonight for some bean, squash, and cucumber picking. Pick the projects back up tomorrow... 🙄

New Meshell Ndegeocello alert! https://www.bluenote.com/meshell-ndegeocello-announces-new-album-synonym/ It's a cover album -- this is Meshell's 3rd by my count, including her amazing Nina Simone tribute -- but her first with an enormous list of collaborators from all over the musical map. Seriously: this many collabs would make me give the side-eye to others but it's Meshell. It will be great. (Plus, two Roberta Flack/Donny Hathaway tunes on the tracklist? (Be Real...

New duo record of Linda May Han Oh and Melissa Aldana out in August: "Beneath Lifted Skies" https://biophiliarecords.com/music/?ID=4755798966714962&album=Beneath%20Lifted%20Skies Duo settings can be a tough sell for me, but this one interests me. (Also reminding me that I need to listen to that Mary Halvorson and Ambrose Akinmusire release again soon.) #Jazz #LindaMayHanOh #MelissaAldana #Music

I have heard more versions of "Honolulu City Lights" than I can count, but this one surprised me in a good way! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWZJgjoZ3fE They have a version of "Island Style," too. Their thing is emo/punk takes on island classics. It works! #Hawaii #Music #HonoluluCityLights #HawaiianMusic

Feeling very complain-y but don't want to be complain-y out loud, so instead I'll celebrate that I picked up the guitar for the first time in MONTHS tonight. Felt good! I remembered I'd grabbed some slack key materials a while back that I never spent time with, so I pulled those out and messed with them for a while. Now to try and do it again tomorrow.

Anyone have over-ear wireless headphones recommendations for a tighter budget? I had a nice pair of Bose headphones for almost 10 years. Replacement was near but I left them out in the rain. Replacement is now! Would love something closer to 100 or 150 US dollars, if possible, but I use them daily for music, so sound quality's really important. Lighter weight is also better. Share recs from experience please. Thanks, and feel free to boost! #Music #Headphones #AskFedi

I love some of the random American apparel you see in Korean and Japanese shows but this one made me hit pause. From a Japanese show called "Then You Try Making It!" (Apparently rodeo is indeed a thing in some Wisconsin schools.)
