@CinnamonCatYurilover@sharkey.skydevs.me AI always ment Artificial Insemination. Like most countryside kids, the visit of the AI man to service our cow was a highlight of the month.

@CinnamonCatYurilover@sharkey.skydevs.me Still totally proprietary undocumented file format. Good luck making .ai files work (for editing!) in any other program. This alone disqualifies this company.

@CinnamonCatYurilover@sharkey.skydevs.me And now we live in an era where no one has ever heard of #AdobePhotoshop #AI #AISlop

@CinnamonCatYurilover@sharkey.skydevs.me Before that one, ai stood for articificial insemination. No one asked the cows, but that form of getting shoved something inside has, for me, a striking similarity with ai slop that gets poured into people these days.

@CinnamonCatYurilover@sharkey.skydevs.me in another reality, Adobe complained about it, went to trial, won, and we never had to deal with all that bullshit

@grishka@friends.grishka.me 2026-06-14 16:08
I didn't exactly hate it, but I switched to Affinity Designer for my vector graphics editing needs a while ago. It has a few of its own annoying quirks (ugh corner radius), but is overall better.

@CinnamonCatYurilover@sharkey.skydevs.me I can only speak for the reality I live in, but in that lived reality, almost every single person I know likes AI and finds it a very useful tool I'm the only one to express a hatred of AI, and everyone who knows me knows I'm the weird person in their circle
