My local supermarket decided to place this pallet full of useless debris cornstalk stoop decorations right next to the bicycle rack. It's finally been removed as of today, after several complaints. Also the dillweed who parked sideways at the wave rack.

The Twin Cities used to be well served by streetcars (even the parks) but the car/oil lobby got them wiped out. Now we're getting BRT lines. There's several reminders of the streetcar network still hanging on. #BikeNite #Cycling

First stop was an empty parking space. How big is it? (answers ranged from 13’ to 20’) It’s about 19.5’ x 7’. How many bikes can fit into one parking space? We really jammed them in, and a kind pedestrian took photos—SEVENTEEN bikes in one parking space! Think of the implications…. #bikenite #groupride

It was already in pretty good shape and I got to learn about the weird brakes that BMX's have. Sadly I left it unfinished because there was a pretty big gouge out of the rear tire and we didn't have any tires in that size. #bikeNite

So I visited my brother who was there showing something in machining lab and get to the metallurgy lab to cast some aluminium. Yes no PPE I was surprised too that they let me do it like that, tbh it isn't the first time I done it.

@ascentale@sfba.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social A8 Example from today of something most upright cyclists probably never think of because they can ride through this no problem - barriers meant to restrict cars have to allow enough width to *not* restrict trikes, quads, handcycles, wheelchair users, etc. I had to do a significant backtrack and detour to a more dangerous route because of this barrier. #BikeNite #Accessibility

On Friday there was another Waymo, blocking the driveway for the loading dock. The semi driver was not amused. In the store, the first Christmas display! Whoo hoo! Let’s skip all those other holidays! (The Halloween display is right next to it, it’s been there since August). And finally, just so so you all don’t think I belong to some fancy gym that is not full of dirtbag climbers, a small bmx bike! Well maybe we are fancy enough, as it was not locked up. #BikeNite

@ascentale@sfba.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social we had an excellent Smyrna group ride this week and had two new folks who were a bit new / nervous about biking (which is the point of this ride)! One of them showed up and then realized her tube had gone flat in the car somehow, so we stopped by the @bikeshed@theatl.social and threw a new tube in for her and then made up a new route from there, she was very happy she could join us after all! #BikeNite
