🤔 (people who are not clear on the idea of "sea level rise") "...The Balboa Fun Zone saw the brunt of the flooding, despite sandbags that were placed in the area ahead of the high tide. The water came in from the bay side of the peninsula, which signifies that sand berms erected on the ocean side of the peninsula kept even more water from coming in...." https://abc7.com/post/newport-beach-long-hit-flooding-during-high-tide/19981923/

Interesting, I heard a local plumber saying this about Dems (ie that he was going to go on a killing spree as soon as he was ordered to by the Orange Man) before January 6th, and there wasn't any action on it when reported. Apparently if you post it to YouTube, though, they'll show up at your door and arrest you.

Random (as I often am)... Okay, so it seems like the principle behind the (basic) DJ thing (as far as I have been able to gather in 12 hours 🤪) is: 1. have a lot of tracks to pick from that match whatever genre you are DJ'ing 2. Come up with a playlist an order where you are progressing through the tracks you want to play for whatever time, that your BPM and key progressions are appealing and ebb and flow depending on what you are doing. i.e. what songs are you going to play in what order...

Fabric not at all appropriate for the usual quilting people around here. Denim (including Japanese selvedge), and many others menswear fabrics. Now, it appears I either need to sew jeans or a denim jacket. They were extremely happy to have me take these, especially after I sent them photos of my two jackets I sewed. #sewi...
