So I shut it off and made a USB installer stick for Windows from my Mac (which was surprisingly annoying to figure out) and then nuked it from orbit.
So I got Windows on it.
Then I made a Mint USB stick since I was going to try Mint Linux. That went okay and I got it partitioned and installed Mint, but the install process, while easier than I remember in the past, still seemed entirely too nerdy. But it worked anyway.

After a few minutes of tooling around with Mint, I was realizing I basically can't read the damn screen. My eyes aren't what they used to be and this screen is small and low resolution. I booted back into Windows to see why I didn't recall that issue there and found it was running at 125% scale or something - which, blurry in places if looking closely, but overall was usable. So I went back to Mint to try to find a scaler but only found 1x or 2x and 2x was way too much. So... boo.
