After a few minutes of tooling around with Mint, I was realizing I basically can't read the damn screen. My eyes aren't what they used to be and this screen is small and low resolution. I booted back into Windows to see why I didn't recall that issue there and found it was running at 125% scale or something - which, blurry in places if looking closely, but overall was usable. So I went back to Mint to try to find a scaler but only found 1x or 2x and 2x was way too much. So... boo.

There's probably some complex way to do it, but I didn't find it and moved on. I installed Steam just because I could. Then I installed Age of Empires 2. Again, because I could... Then the kids wanted to play Age of Empires so I figured - why not try it from Linux?! Well it didn't go well, to put it mildly. I needed my AirPods paired. So I paired them as bluetooth and they kept connecting for 1 second and disconnecting.

@bigzaphod@mastodon.social Maybe the setting you were searching for is in System Settings > Display > Settings Tab > "Enable fractional scaling controls". On my mint, I can then also chose more options than just 1x or 2x.
