@wess@social.lol Hello from about 2 1/2 hours east! :fox_wave: I've spent many a day in Greensboro, mostly for concerts, Edward McKay (RIP that location), and seeing some pals in a band that used to be based out of there. Funny enough, I''m actually considering that same specific dumb.co flip phone after reading the full book version of August Lamm's anti-smartphone zine: https://augustlamm.com. Curious to hear how your experience with it goes. Also lovely to see another Pedro the Lion fan here. Caught their stripped down tour in Carrboro earlier this year, and it was fantastic. 🙂 Welcome to a lovely little corner of the internet. :prami:

@joshuagrady@social.lol Great to make this connection - thanks for saying hello. I love all the overlapping circles. I will gladly tell you about my experience anytime but so far so good. I’ve been on it since last Wednesday and really enjoying everything about it, including more time for blogging! Die Hard Pedro fan. Was sad to miss the show this year but I’ve seen him at Cat’s Cradle a few times since the pandemic. And thanks for the recommendation on the zine - it sounds fantastic and like it would be a good fit for my classes at Guilford. Will check it out. Let me know next time you’re in town. We can get coffee and talk indie rock. What band are your friends in? PS - McKays is closer to you now at least, right?!
