🔥 Celebrating my birthday a couple days early (10.27) as the oldest daughter is home from college. Gonna make steaks (NY Strip). This is the only time I eat a steak so I'm excited. Being from NE Ohio, Grilling in late October is a wonder! Growing up, this was typically snowsuit weather by now! Gonna use this recipe: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/788467857-reverse-seared-rib-eye-steak?smid=share-url

Birthday was lovely yesterday. Two highlights: lunch with my daughter who was able to high school for lunch and grab some sandwiches at Five Guys with me. And my students surprising me with a birthday cake and ice-cream and two candles: one a seven and the other a one. 🤣 I hope to one day be 71 but for now will stick with 48. Any other 48ers out there living your best life?

Hey social.lol thought I'd do my #introduction now that I've got my migration done. I'm heading over here from The Forkiverse via the good folks at Sunny.Garden who let me crash on their couch for a couple weeks while I figured things out. I'm a 25 year blogger and working on migrating over the wess.pika.page (main URL coming once posts are migrated). I was excited to learn about omg.lol from @todd@social.lol when I mentioned I was looking for a new blogging platform. My bio...
