Today I am feeling the loss of a picturesque section of one of my favorite trails in the White Mountains, NH that has just now been permanently closed. The section went along a mountain stream with multiple beautiful waterfalls such as this one. Because of trail erosion along the stream as well as a high number of accidents/rescues along the slippery steep sections, the trail has been rerouted around the falls. Hiking this trail won’t be the same! ☹️ #hiking #mountains #waterfalls
