@timbray@cosocial.ca It feels like Gruber making a statement on his own values than some change of the vibe on X. There have been a handful of moments where he or a podcast cohost have said some things that gave me real pause about his values and eventually he said one problematic thing too much and I decided it was time to unsubscribe and make room for new people. I’m hoping this causes a few people to lift their heads up and maybe rethink how much of a presence they want DF to have in their feeds.

@timbray@cosocial.ca @gruber@mastodon.social thank you for your service With the ongoing issues with services like nitter staying away becomes harder. Unfortunately the political landscape down here is that the clowns running my country will post on Xitter first instead of using the multiple official governmental channels. And this goes from weather alerts, riots, sudden cabinet firings, and central bank drama. Fortunately we still enjoy a healthy AM radio ecosystem. That kinda looks like podcasts to genz.

@timbray@cosocial.ca #JoniMitchell became an American citizen? Now? *shakes head* Th best theory I've seen is that she fears deportation, which would be very unpleasant at her age. But if that were the case, why not simply become a permanent resident?

@timbray@cosocial.ca I had the same thought reading the same thing. My company has an X account and whenever I log in I once again see what a cesspool it is!
