A small, quick one again today:
"20 Minutes to Sunset"
pastel on Wallis paper - 7x5 in

Summer evening walk on Steamboat Ditch Trail.
This is done on a sanded pastel paper called Wallis, which has gone out of business before I started painting. Their paper still holds a legendary status. I have several artist friends who gave me their leftover Wallis paper, and sometimes I splurge... I'm such a cheap date 😁

To clarify, they didn't go out of business, but the business was bought... by a skateboarder (or multiple), to manufacture it as a skateboard grit paper. Heard that from a reliable source.

@Tamami@mastodon.art Beautiful! I keep seeing the shape of an angry shark’s head in it though! 🤯
