@Su_G@aus.social We've kidna had it implemented in Yugoslavia (until its wars). It was called "samoupravni socijalizam" ("self-governing socialism"). Workers were shareholders, and (when majority had same opinion of course) could override ANY managment board decision. While there were few disadvantages (think: not all workers being educated enough about all parts of the production), it worked remarkably fine in most cases (IMHO). Then came privatization and many great companies crumbled. @hosford42@techhub.social

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange I had just moved from Tokyo to Silicon Valley in 1995 - the year of the Netscape IPO and arguable the start of the .com era and bubble. Five years of irrational exuberance later it crashed. Timing is looking similar on this bubble. But I don’t recall those years being driven by such a small handful of companies. Let’s see

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange but the S&P 493 returned 12.5% per annum when inflation averaged a bit over 4% per annum, even with the bear market of end of COVID. Yes, the market is insanely overvalued, but the 493 did OK. Short TSLA with very tight stop losses, otherwise irrationally long. (Buffett is probably right again.)
