They could have written:
"Solutions will be chosen in a neutral manner, based on how effective they are at solving a problem".
instead of... this.
Really, this single sentence is the one and only thing that pushes me away from OpenBSD.
What do they consider politics? Do they consider transgender people to be "politics"?
Are disabled people also "politics"?
Is a screen reader considered "politics" since it helps a minority? How about a colorblind filter?
The term "politics" has a different meaning depending on who uses it.

@meluzzy@woof.tech Politics is when your project leader is criticized for being abusive on the mailing lists

@meluzzy@woof.tech yeah, they should at least clarify if they consider respecting marginalized people (queer, disabled…) to be "basic respect" and not fall under the "no politics" rule.

@meluzzy@woof.tech completely unenforceable bullet point. even replacing "politics" with "ideologies" ends up saying nothing. so, no reason to abstain, as it is entirely meaningless.
