Going on a trip with my 5yo so I’m downloading some of his fave tv shows to the tablet (Magic School Bus). Realized the default is for these episodes to be deleted once watched, which, nooo, this is such a bad default for kids shows. I’ve been offline before and my kid wants to watch the show over and over again and the app just *poof* deleted it, to my horror.

Going through a real tough time right now. My partner has been in and out of the hospital. I’m trying to support her and take care of my kid and keep myself from crumbling into dust. So if our government is going to live stream an execution, I’d be very interested to see which companies would end up agreeing to provide the infrastructure for that stream and how they would try to justify it. I have a question about “terrorism” - if someone attacks a military base, my understanding is that is not terrorism because terrorism specifically means targeting civilians. It seems like the way the term is used is often just like “person on the other side of the conflict”.

Mi servidor marcó 2,091 W de paquete CPU con once contenedores levantados. Ojo: eso no es el consumo del enchufe. La cuenta útil es otra. Si el equipo completo consume 10 W, apagarlo ocho horas cada noche evita 29,2 kWh/año. A 50 W, evita 146. Yo no apagaría a ciegas el servidor que mantiene WireGuard o automatizaciones. El host Docker funcionaba bien: 11 contenedores arriba, 53 °C y ni rastro de falta de RAM. El problema estaba en otro sitio: 7,133 GB de imágenes reclamables y 3,325 GB en volúmenes sin uso. Por eso no elegiría Docker o LXC por una tabla de consumo. Docker empaqueta aplicaciones. LXC te deja otro Linux que mantener.
