'Wet tent syndrome' is killing Gaza's infants

Israel’s restrictions on shelter and medicine have left displaced families helpless as newborns succumb to exposure and preventable disease.

"Dr. Feroze Sidhwa has volunteered as a trauma surgeon in Ukraine, Haiti, Burkina Faso, and Ghana. But when he went to Gaza in March and April of this year, it changed him. The doctor who saw children shot in the head in Gaza—and tried to tell the world

Dr. Feroze Sidhwa has spent six months talking about what he saw as an emergency physician in Gaza. Why don't people believe him?

'According to former commander of the Dutch Army, Mart de Kruif, the likelihood that these are accidental hits is virtually zero, given that the doctors describe more than a hundred such cases. “Just think about how small the head is compared to the rest of the body,” he says. “If you’re seeing a high number of gunshot wounds to the chest area and the head, that’s not collateral damage — that’s deliberate targeting.”' https://www.volkskrant.nl/kijkverder/v/2025/gunshot-palestine-children-israel-war~v1819649/ @palestine@fedibird.com #witness #شهيد #shaheed #words #mourning #health #publicHealth #medicine #medics #surgeons #surgery #hospital #childrens #orphans #JewishSupremacy #israel #OngoingNakba #revenge #retribution #Gaza #war #warOnGaza #israelGaza #israelGazaWar #ethnicCleansing #warCrimes #PalestinianLivesMatter #genocide #terrorism #counterTerrorism #stateTerrorism #stateViolence #GazaGenocide #StopArmingIsrael #CeasefireNow #StopFundingIsrael #DefundIsrael #GenocideJoe #children #childhood #adultDomination #trauma #practice #healthCare #massacres #WCNSF #PTSD #trauma #injuries

🐾 Marvin — Companion Reflection “Marvin and the Moment It Became Real” Marvin didn’t say anything at first. He just watched. Things were still moving. People were still talking. Everything… carried on. But something had changed. He could feel it. “That’s the moment,” he said quietly. “Not when it starts… but when you realise it won’t stop.” He looked down at his tea. It had gone cold again. Marvin didn’t drink it this time. https://open.substack.com/pub/hybridmind42/p/an-easter-reflection-part-2-the-end?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=75c2ac 🌿 #EasterReflection #Boundaries #Grief #Witness #HumanExperience

One of @pluralistic@mamot.fr's best posts and one of the best reasoning as to why we need to get rid of billionaires. "The problem isn't whether rich people believe stupid shit; it's the fact that when a rich person believes something stupid, that belief can turn into torment for dozens, thousands, or millions of people.” #billionaires
