Good Law Project Over 89,000 of us have told the health secretary that we don’t want Palantir in our NHS. But the government is just weeks away from deciding whether to cancel or renew the contract, and we need to reach 100,000 before then to make sure we’re impossible to ignore. Will you help us get there by asking a friend to say no to Palantir? https://notopalantir.goodlawproject.org/s/yGuHBe #PrivatisationFails #NoPalantir #PalantirSpyTech #healthCare #NHSSOS #uk_politics #fascism

For the second day in a row the police do nothing about 1) wearing of uniforms and 2) wilful obstruction of the highway. Criminal damage can be added to the fascists' charge sheet this time. #racism #fascism #UK_politics #Portsmouth

Hmm, just thought, "How convenient that COVID-19 [sic: formatting] is why 'we are experiencing high demand', while also justifying no health restrictions anywhere because 'the pandemic is over' [sic]." #UnitedKingdom #UK #UK_politics #UK111 #NHS #SaveOurNHS #covid #covid19 #SARS2 #SarsCoV2 #SARS_CoV2 #Infection #InfectionPrevention #InfectionControl #Public #PublicHealth #PublicHealthPolicy #efficiency #ResourceEfficiency #Savings #budget #spending #Austerity #BudgetCuts

#ReformUK = cruelty personfied. "A café owner who served up free meals to hungry children after food vouchers were removed has been told he will be reported to police by a Reform council leader. Barry Ashley, who runs the Grumpy Cook in Hastings, stepped up after East Sussex County Council decided not to issue school holiday meal vouchers to struggling families over the summer. He has criticised the move, which he branded “shameless”, accusing the council of turning its back of children in poverty." #UK_politics

Grauniad editorial. "The first-past-the-post model used to elect local authorities in England is ill-suited to multiparty politics. It was already flawed in the era when political competition was defined by the rivalry between Labour and the Conservatives. Smaller parties were locked out. Too many voters felt their ballots counted for nothing in safe seats. But there is an additional perversity when four or five parties have poll ratings somewhere between the high teens and high twenties. The threshold for victory drops. The winning candidate might have been opposed by a clear majority. The average winner’s vote share in last year’s local elections was 40.7% – the lowest on record. About 75 candidates were elected on vote shares lower than 30%." #Elections2026 #UK_Politics

"It was quite an eye-opener peering into the misinformation that surrounds these bubbles, with Reformers fuming over a Sikh kebab owner arrested for refusing to sell Halal meat (he wasn’t), championing the Japanese government for banning Islam (they didn’t), and seething over bizarre AI-generated images of a taxpayer-funded water park in Croydon (there isn’t one)." #ReformUK #UK_politics #Elections2026

History does not happen in nice, neat chronological sequences. It's also subject to two other major factors: 1) new evidence of what happened being discovered; and 2) interpretation. Politics doesn't come with much more ignorance than it does from the #Farage 🐸 #Fascist Fan Club. #Senedd #Elections2026 #UK_Politics

From The Grauniad letters page. "I am confident that my ancestor William Wilberforce would find the Reform party’s claim that the UK made “huge sacrifices” to end the slave trade both ignorant and tone‑deaf." #UK_Politics #ReformUK 🐸 #racism #slavery

“The death of our parents, partners, children, siblings grandparents and grandchildren in the most horrific circumstances was gross negligent manslaughter, NOT fate.” #Reform's housing spokesperson should hang his head in shame. #UK_Politics #Grenfell 🐸
