Well, that had a lot of potential, and a lot of atmosphere, but as with all Poe & Lovecraft short stories, the conclusion has to be unsatisfying because otherwise the vast cosmic horror doesn't work. Good effort for a Corman film, on a par with lesser Hammer films.
