Partner and I watched Frieren: Beyond Journey's End recently and liked it very much, so much so that we bought the entire 15 volumes of the original Manga.
Thanks to our time spent learning German we understand that all the characters' names are in German and representing their personalities, as well as most of its places. The otherwise excellent Traditional Chinese translation didn't seems to reflect this, but in rare occasions it did add footnotes to some creatures.
I'm in volume two now, the story's to my heart's liking just like the Anime. But I have to say I'm not a Manga enthusiast, and have only read very few of them. The last one I think was Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind from decades ago... I didn't remember the drawings being so tiny... Perhaps my sights are indeed fading because of ageing.
