The CPS wants to sentence five more Palestine activists as terrorists for committing criminal damage, it can be revealed. Brendon O’Hagan, Amanda Kelly, Hmeera Atiqnisar, Mohammed Malik, and Alma Yaniv were convicted of criminal damage last month for a protest at a Barclays bank branch in Burnley in 2024. What element of how the #filton4 were tried makes you think we don’t live under a rightwing authoritarian regime? ‘The activists were acquitted of aggravated burglary at an initial trial in February, by which point they had already spent 18 months in prison on remand, having been found guilty of no crime.
