@PetraPhoenix One more thing: The mention of rainwater in another answer reminded me of something else: If you want to use tap water for watering, it would be best to let it sit in an open vessel for at least a day so that limescale can settle and chlorine can evaporate. This is easier on the plants, also temperature wise. Of course this won't be necessary if you have access to rain water.

@PetraPhoenix compost only would most probably be too many nutrients. It's the absence of nutrient's that actually promotes root growth. I'd go with a mix of soil from your garden (clay is good in this case), sand and compost. I would try 1/3 of each but if you have several seeds available, you could experiment with different ratios. Make sure to use planting pots with holes at the bottom so that any excess water can drain away. Bright and warm location should be best, soil should be kept moist.

@PetraPhoenix A lot of direct sunlight might be a little too much at the beginning. If that's the case on that window, you could try to create some sort of shadowing with a sheet of paper or something. The kitchen location might actually help with checking on the plants regularly :)

@sarahjamielewis@mastodon.social As a tester I find bug reports with titles like "When an agent commits, add itself as author" (#219842) and "When an agent commits, don't add itself as author" (#2011195) highly confusing as they read like they are describing intended behaviour. But a bug report should describe unintended behaviour like "Agentic commits are not attributed to the agent". So before jumping into conclusions about the intent of the authors, I would try to clear up the actual requirements.
