From the automated video transcript:
DIESEN: Where does this leave Europe in a very big very difficult very bad situation overall?
MERCOURIS: Um Europe has become very accustomed not just in the 20th century and the 19th century but basically for hundreds of years as being the cockpit of humanity. The major place where human progress takes place, where uh living standards are highest, where economic change is most dynamic, where science and technology are promoted uh most vigorously, where philosophical thought and culture and art are at their most vital. And now what we are facing is the real possibility that we might become a backwater. And that is something that is very very alarming and very disturbing not just for European elites but I suspect deep down for many much of the wider European population which is probably starting to sense this which also explains some of this legitimacy issue.

You know what's funny
Back in 1998, I reviewed my household budget and found that fully 1/3rd of it went to restaurants. I didn't realize how much it was.
We (my wife and I, that is) pared that profigacy down, but it took us until 2003 to buy a house. It's not so simple.
Still, I can very easily see how eating out and Doordash may put a gigantic hole into a zoomer's budget without them knowing. And then, they go to Fedi and argue about it.

@kaisla@eliitin-some.fi Blackmail is petty. Every one who supports, promotes, or advances trooning of children must be sent to prison. For life.
