Question to get an idea and inspiration: what do you run in CI?

I run:
- composer install + validate + audit
- php lint
- deptrac
- ecs
- @phpmd@phpc.social
- @phpunit@phpc.social (with and without database)
- @infection_php@mastodon.social
- @phpstan@phpc.social
- Vi test
- rector
- mlc
- vale
- redoc-cli
- Custom script to build documentation from a combination of markdown, openapi and test results.
- a manual job to create a new release (combine all changelogs from a directory to a main changelog, create a tag, push)

Does anyone know a package to read junit and/or Open Test Reporting in #PHP ?

I'm thinking about reading logs and reports from code quality tools to keep a history (and see trends)

First set of tools that I have in mind includes @phpunit@phpc.social @phpstan@phpc.social @phpmd@phpc.social

RE: https://phpc.social/@FullStackEindhoven/116713918151088685

It took a little bit longer then expected but I'm happy that we changed the name and now have a website 😃

https://fullstackeindhoven.nl/

PHP Community on Mastodon

Full Stack Eindhoven (@FullStackEindhoven@phpc.social)

We changed our name from 'PHP & Laravel development Eindhoven' to 'Full Stack Eindhoven'. The reason is that our former name did not match the fields of interest we were covering anymore. More lectures had a subject not related to PHP or Laravel at all. #meetup #usergroup #php #eindhoven #fullStack #laravel

Replying to
@viktor @chrastecky It is very nice to see the remote approach. But to be honest a position without any indication about the salary (or examples for different locations) makes it less interesting to apply. And yes I understand that it can be difficult to give realistic information.

Thinking about a way to get new #elePHPants to create new pictures for https://placephant.com/

And a new picture for my #PSR8 postcard (see: https://tjvb.nl/post/psr-8-the-most-forgotten-psr-that-isnt-about-code-but-more-important-then-all-other-psrs#postcards )

Does anyone know a good way that is also nice for my wallet? :elephpant:

Replying to

Replying to
@waterkip@defcon.social you can. The versions are boundaries. If you add a new package without a version, composer tries to find the latest version that fits in the boundaries on your current environment. That can result in a set that doesn't work on all edges of your version constraints. That is also the reason why you can have multiple versions supported for a package. As example: https://gitlab.com/tjvb/laravel-githash/-/blob/master/composer.json?ref_type=heads#L39 You can add a version to composer require to get an older version composer require vendor/pkg:10.3

Replying to
@waterkip@defcon.social to be honest if I need to support PHP 8.3 as a minimum I should use that for my local environment. Laravel 13 support PHP 8.3 so that shouldn't be a problem. But I shouldn't be surprised if some dependencies did bump the minimum PHP version ☹️ (and yes, I think that should mean a new make version but some people think differently)

Replying to
@waterkip@defcon.social composer is only the package manager and not a PHP installer. It can prevent installing your project on a system with a not working PHP version. (Or with missing extensions) It is possible to support multiple versions with a PHP requirement like: "php": "~8.0.0 || ~8.1.0 || ~8.2.0 || ~8.3.0 || ~8.4.0 || ~8.5.0" Example: https://gitlab.com/tjvb/githash/-/blob/master/composer.json?ref_type=heads#L37 And yes, PHP doesn't use semver (never has) I understand your frustrations but I think you didn't know the PHP eco system 🙂

@happyborg@fosstodon.org I have it on the network tab for a system and there I can set it on static with an address. Currently I can't change it because it is running 😊 One thing I just realized is that I currently have only LXC and not a full VM running but I thought it was also possible with a VM.
