Since people aren’t supposed to speak ill of the dead, be sure to get your disrespectful Mitch McConnell takes in now before they finally admit that he’s gone to the big terrarium in the sky.

Trump’s poll numbers are bad but not bad enough for my taste. I’ve come to the conclusion that at least 1/3 of the country needs intensive cult deprogramming.
Pretty incredible that we’re just supposed to go to school or work or whatever today and the mad king just posts about possibly ending the world at 8 p.m. EST.
For no particular reason, was just thinking back to the hundreds of people who were fired for simply accurately quoting Charlie Kirk’s words after his death…
Remember the reason for the season…
The problem with being ruled by Biblical literalists is that since the gold statue isn’t of a calf they’ll be like, “See, it’s not the same!” And totally misunderstand the lesson of Exodus Chapter 32. See, I read the same Bible they did, but even as a kid I understood it was allegorical. These folks have no understanding of literary devices.
Want a real political sentiment indicator? For the first time I saw almost no MAGA merchandise in any of the tourist shops at any of the Orange County, California piers this past week. The little I saw were shoved in a corner. For the past few years they were copious and right out front.

Well, I was anxious all day to the point of being physically ill, but at least we get to do this again in another two weeks! How exciting! Looking forward to living this way for another three years!
The FIFA Peace Prize used to mean something…
I grew up in Indiana where we didn’t have Daylight Saving Time growing up. So, my hot take is that the House should be abolishing DST, not making it permanent.
Six months without alcohol. Please clap.
Melania at her Epstein briefing yesterday, basically:
I had to see it, and now you do, too:
How did Orbán lose when he had the raw charisma of JD Vance working for him? I don’t get it.

Meanwhile Schumer and Jeffries are dancing in the end zone as if this were an unassailable victory and not a deafening warning shot for the future. Dems need leaders who can meet the moment and these two ain’t it.
Wait, so now we’re the ones blocking the Strait? We’ve entered the war in Iran on the side of Iran? I know they didn’t have a plan but wow.
Scott Pelley was fired and Bari Weiss still has a job, which is completely backwards.
Do the people who cry online all day when a person of color is cast in a movie have nothing better to do? Job? Hobbies? Family? Friends? Naps? Nothing?
Only Republicans are allowed to win elections in this country. Apparently that’s how the rules work.
Happy Confederate Surrender Day!

Republicans spent decades of plotting and planning to overturn Roe. In the end, they got it. Don’t think for a second they won’t hesitate to do the same on birthright citizenship. If there’s one thing they know how to do it’s play the long game.
Funny how election-deniers never deny elections they won. Somehow those are always right, just and fair.
