The NZ government are so desperate to disparage the previous government's response to a global crisis - universally praised as amongst the best in the world - that they "busy" putting together a response to a different global crisis that will be universally recognised as amongst the worst.

Quote of the day (from @pluralistic@mamot.fr )
"We’re in the polycrisis, a widening gyre of climate emergency, inequality, infrastructure neglect, rising authoritarianism and zoonotic plagues.
But that’s not the bad part."
So what is the bad part?
THE BAD PART IS THAT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN A POSITION TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT ARE ALL TELLING YOU THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT, YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN.
