They’re well intentioned, but their black and white thinking about software and whether it conforms to their agenda is problematic. And they’re basically nothing more than a bunch of hobbyists in a trenchcoat.

I'm embarrassed to say it, but shipping speed on Amazon has influenced my decisions on what I purchased , or even if I purchase something. And I should be awfully ashamed of that. Because I know that they're trying their best to make everything ship in picoseconds. They will figure out how to send stuff directly and instant instantly through the screen if they can.

I really want to cut Amazon out of my life at some point, but I have no idea how much a prime subscription stacks up against gasoline.

The thing I love best about mastodon and bluesky is the fact that they both can use domains as a source of verification. There’s hardly ever any ambiguity as to whether or not an account is real if they’re hosted on an instance of their own.

Sometimes I think to myself “oh I’m very protected keeping my stuff in Nextcloud” and then the police will just come up with a search warrant for the hard drive.

Like if you ask me where I wanted to play a game, my priority would be probably at this point:

1. PlayStation
2. PC/Mac
3. Nintendo
4. My Phone
5. Xbox (all of these except one and three are one)

There's just a weird paradox with credit cards. You shouldn't use it since there's a chance that you'll default, but you also should not not use it because then you have no credit history to get approved for a loan when you actually need one. Maybe credit history is just a big scam made up by banks to hook people on credit idk.

I really shouldn't be glorifying credit, but it is nice. How select BNPL providers can integrate with merchants to tell you exactly what your financing. So every time you come back to look at it or pay it, you can ask yourself "was this worth it?" and "should I be spending my money differently?". But maybe I'm convincing myself of lies idk.

This 30$ piece of metal and plastic is the most versatile phone accessory I’ve had.

I do a good job at not spending more than I can afford, but I am rather impulsive and struggle with patience. Especially if there's a problem that needs to be solved. I have zero sense of setting priorities.
