Ivanka “Hayka” Kutsenko was killed

On the night of October 1, we learned that our comrade Hayka had been killed during an artillery strike. She was 33 years old.

An anarchist, feminist, vegan, educator, marine, our dear comrade and friend. She was an embodiment of inspiration and resistance: sincere, stubborn, full of life.

“I felt that I would keep hammering away at this rock, and eventually it would bring results.”

Hayka’s experience has been documented in many interviews, lectures, and conversations. In June, at the birthday event of Solidarity Collectives, she spoke together with other anti-authoritarians about her experience in the army: sexism, housing problems, veganism, logistics, and everyday life in military service. She was never afraid to challenge the system, and through her own example she supported and encouraged other comrades who wanted to join the Armed Forces.

Her activist path ran through a wide range of anti-authoritarian projects and initiatives in Kharkiv, Odesa, Kyiv, Lviv, and beyond the cities. She gave lectures, wrote articles and fairy tales, was involved in self-publishing, practiced freeganism, and researched landfills and the lives of people around them. Ivanka travelled a lot and lived through activism. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, she worked on humanitarian projects, helping women and children from frontline areas, and later joined the armed resistance herself.

Hayka carved out her own path as a marine through prejudice and the sexist barriers of the military system, eventually serving alongside her comrades as an equal on difficult combat missions.

Hayka, we will miss you deeply.
Our sincere condolences to her loved ones, friends, comrades, and fellow soldiers.

We will share information about the farewell as soon as we know more. The date of the funeral is not yet known.

Today is the birthday of Leshyi — Dmitry Petrov. He would have turned 37 today.

He has officially been listed as missing in action since April 19, 2023. According to the information available to us, he was killed on that day.

Загинула Іванка «Гайка» Куценко

Уночі 1 жовтня стало відомо, що під час артилерійського обстрілу загинула наша товаришка Гайка. Їй було 33 роки.

Анархістка, феміністка, веганка, освітянка, морська піхотинка, наша добра товаришка й подруга. Вона була втіленням натхнення і спротиву: щирою, впертою, живою.

«Я відчувала, що буду лупити далі цю скалу, і це дасть якийсь результат».

Досвід Гайки залишився задокументованим у багатьох інтерв’ю, лекціях і розмовах. В червні, на дні народження «Колективів Солідарності» вона разом з іншими антиавторитаріями розповідала про свій досвід в армії: про сексизм, житлові проблеми, веганство, логістику та повсякденне життя на службі. Вона не боялася кидати виклик системі й власним прикладом підтримувала та мотивувала товаришок, які хотіли долучитися до лав Збройних сил.

Її активістський шлях проходив крізь різноманітні антиавторитарні проєкти та ініціативи в Харкові, Одесі, Києві, Львові та поза містами. Вона виступала з лекціями, писала статті і казки, займалася самвидавом, фриганила, досліджувала сміттєзвалища та життя на них. Іванка багато мандрувала і жила активізмом. На початку повномасштабного вторгнення вона працювала в гуманітарних проєктах, допомагаючи жінкам і дітям із прифронтових територій, а згодом сама долучилася до збройного спротиву.

Гайка проклала свій шлях морської піхотинки крізь упередження та сексистські перепони армійської системи, щоб зрештою бути нарівні зі своїми побратимами на важких бойових виходах.
Гайко, нам тебе дуже бракуватиме.

Yurii “Yaniv” Samoilenko
13.12.1987 — 10.09.2022

At the start of the full-scale invasion, it was Yurii who helped many people, groups, and initiatives join the resistance and unite under a single unit. Later, various units and projects were formed on this basis. For many people, Yurii will forever remain a sincere, kind person and a brother-in-arms.

Yurii was killed on September 10, 2022. He left behind his wife and daughter.

Interview with ‘Priama Diia’ union members

Anti-authoritarian self-organization in Ukraine today encompasses a wide range of initiatives, projects, organizations, ideas, and practices.

Today, we would like to present a short interview with members of the “Priama Diia” (Direct Action) student union about their recent actions and projects, their views on contemporary activism in Ukraine, and the pressure the union has faced from law enforcement agencies.

“Priama Diia” is a student trade union and a successor to a grassroots anarchist tradition whose modern history dates back to 2008. After several generations of activists and periods of inactivity, the current fourth generation of the organization brings together hundreds of students across Ukraine.

One of the union’s recent campaigns focuses on the struggle for affordable public transport in Kyiv — an issue that, under wartime conditions, directly affects people’s ability to study, work, and move around the city.

June-July 2026

The first two months of summer have been really busy, and we certainly have lots to report on.

On 28 June, we celebrated our organisation’s fourth anniversary. In Kyiv, we marked the occasion with a public event featuring lectures, film screenings, an exhibition, a freeshop, workshops and much more.

At the same time, Hinaus gallery in Kyiv hosted a large solidarity exhibition in support of the anti-authoritarian fighters. Thanks to the sale of the artworks, we raised 13,150 euros for the soldiers.

Military aid

Throughout June and July, we continued to fulfil dozens of requests from anti-authoritarian soldiers: personal protective gear, communications systems, portable power supplies, equipment, workshop tools, vehicle repairs and other essential resources.
Among the major purchases were high-capacity EcoFlow charging stations, repairs to military vehicles, as well as several ‘Chuyka’ drone detection systems and related equipment.
We also successfully completed a fundraising campaign for an evacuation vehicle and medical equipment for a team of combat medics.

FPV Workshop

Over the past two months, the FPV group has handed over 26 FPV drones.

Humanitarian work

Together with Freefilmers, our humanitarian team carried out a mission in the Kharkiv region. During the trip, we assisted several local communities and voluntary initiatives, internally displaced people and animal shelters.
At the same time, we continue to support the families of trade union members, as well as people who rescue and care for animals from frontline areas.

International work

In June and July, we also held a series of events in Germany, Finland, Estonia, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands and Switzerland: we screened the film *Anti-Authoritarians at War*, discussed the experiences of the anti-authoritarian movement during the war, presented our new zine, held lectures and discussions, and raised funds by selling our merch.

At the end of June, we learnt of the death of Bodia Slam — an aerial reconnaissance soldier, punk and anarchist. This is yet another heavy loss amongst those who were part of the anti-authoritarian movement and went to defend Ukraine. Our condolences go out to Bodia’s family and friends.

In memory of Samuel Newey

On the 30th of August 2023, Samuel Newey was killed in action in Ukraine fighting the Russian invasion. He was killed while serving with an infantry group that he had joined that same summer. Today marks the fourth year that his loved ones have to live without him, the fourth year that we all have to continue the struggle without him. But the mark he left on each of us who met him, his path in life, and his determination to fight against injustice are still blowing in the wind.

It’s not so often that we have the chance to hear new words from the dead. But today we want to offer this chance to everybody, to celebrate his life. We would like to share this interview with him, recorded in the summer of 2023 and never published.

Death is part of our social life, and remembering the comrades who died, why they fought, how they lived, and how they thought is essential to the continuity of our struggle. So, among all the voices of our dear comrades who cannot speak except through our memories, their texts or recordings, let’s relish the chance to read Samuel’s thoughts on what was happening here in 2023.

Червень-липень 2026

Перші два місяці літа минули насичено, і нам точно є про що прозвітувати.

28 червня ми відзначили чотири роки роботи нашої організації. У Києві ми відзначили цю дату публічним івентом, де провели лекції, кінопокази, виставку, фрімаркет, воркошопи та багато іншого.

У цей же період київська галерея Hinaus провела велику виставку солідарності на підтримку антиавторитарних бійців і бійчинь. Завдяки продажу робіт митців і мисткинь для військових вдалося зібрати 13 150 євро.

Військова допомога

Протягом червня та липня ми продовжували закривати десятки запитів антиавторитарних військових: засоби індивідуального захисту, зв’язок, автономне живлення, спорядження, техніку для майстерень, ремонт автомобілів та інше необхідне обладнання.
Серед великих закупівель були потужні зарядні станції EcoFlow, ремонт військового транспорту, а також кілька систем детекції дронів «Чуйка» та обладнання до них.
Також ми закрили збір на евакуаційне авто та медичне обладнання для групи бойових медиків.

FPV-майстерня

FPV-група за ці два місяці передала 26 FPV-дронів.

Гуманітарна робота

Разом із Freefilmers наша гуманітарна група здійснила місію на Харківщину. Під час поїздки ми допомогли кільком місцевим громадам і волонтерським ініціативам, внутрішньо переміщеним людям та притулкам для тварин.
Водночас, ми продовжуємо підтримувати родини профспілковців, а також людей, які рятують і утримують тварин із прифронтових територій.

Міжнародна робота

У червні та липні ми також провели серію подій у Німеччині, Фінляндії, Естонії, Польщі, Іспанії, Нідерландах та Швейцарії: показували Anti-Authoritarians at War, говорили про досвід антиавторитарного руху під час війни, робили презентацію нового зіну, проводили лекції й дискусії, та збирали кошти через продаж нашого мерчу.

Наприкінці червня стало відомо про загибель Боді Слема — аеророзвідника, панка та анархіста. Це ще одна важка втрата серед людей, які були частиною антиавторитарного руху й пішли захищати Україну. Наші співчуття родичам та друзям Боді.

Але попри все, ми продовжуємо працювати. Щиро дякуємо всім, хто підтримує нас, донатить, поширює інформацію та залишається поруч.

Юрій «Янів» Самойленко
13.12.1987 — 10.09.2022

На початку повномасштабного вторгнення саме Юрій допоміг багатьом людям, групам та ініціативам долучитися до спротиву й об’єднатися в одному підрозділі. Згодом на цій основі сформувалися різні підрозділи та проєкти. Для багатьох людей Юрій назавжди залишиться щирою, світлою людиною та побратимом.

Юрій загинув 10 вересня 2022 року. У нього залишилися дружина та донька.

Сьогодні день народження Лєшого — Дмитра Петрова. Сьогодні йому мало б виповнитися 37 років.

Офіційно він вважається зниклим безвісти під час бойових дій з 19 квітня 2023 року. Але за наявною у нас інформацією, він загинув того ж дня.

На згадку про нашого товариша-інтернаціоналіста ми хочемо поділитися кількома фотографіями, які його батьки надіслали нам з цієї нагоди.

В пам’ять про Семюеля Ньюї

30 серпня 2023 року Семюел Ньюї загинув у бою в Україні, борючись проти російського вторгнення. Він загинув, коли служив у піхотній групі, до якої приєднався того ж літа. Сьогодні виповнюється четвертий рік, як його близькі змушені жити без нього, четвертий рік, як ми всі змушені продовжувати боротьбу без нього. Але відбиток, який він залишив у кожному, хто його знав, його життєвий шлях та його рішучість боротися проти несправедливості досі продовжують жити.

Не так часто нам вдається почути тих, хто пішов з життя. Але сьогодні ми хочемо всім надати цю можливість і вшанувати життя Семюела. Ми хотіли б поділитися цим інтерв’ю, записаним влітку 2023 року, яке так і не було опубліковано

Смерть є частиною нашого суспільного життя, і пам’ять про померлих товаришів, про те, за що вони боролися, як жили та як мислили, є надзвичайно важливою для продовження боротьби. Тож серед усіх голосів наших дорогих товаришів, які можуть говорити тільки через наші спогади, їхні тексти чи записи, давайте скористаємося можливістю ознайомитися з роздумами Семюела про те, що відбувалося тут у 2023 році.

Інтерв’ю з учасни_цями профспілки «Пряма дія»

Антиавторитарна самоорганізація в Україні сьогодні охоплює широкий спектр ініціатив, проєктів, організацій, ідей і практик.

Сьогодні ми хочемо представити невелике інтерв’ю з учасни_цями профспілки «Пряма дія» про їхні останні акції та проєкти, сучасний активізм в Україні, а також про тиск на профспілку з боку правоохоронних органів.

«Пряма дія» — студентська профспілка та наступниця низової анархістської традиції, сучасна історія якої бере свій початок у 2008 році. Після кількох хвиль активної діяльності та перерв, нинішнє, вже четверте, покоління організації об’єднує й залучає до активізму сотні студентів і студенток по всій Україні.

Одна з останніх кампаній профспілки стосується боротьби за доступний громадський транспорт у Києві — питання, яке в умовах війни безпосередньо впливає на можливість людей навчатися, працювати й пересуватися містом.
