I left this greeting card in every free-for-all folder I could find on #GlobalTalk during this #MARCHintosh. It was hand-drawn in MacPaint on my SE/30.
As it turns out, hands are extremely difficult to draw.

@theirongiant Good sleuthing. Yes, my router blocks ICMP requests (first time I've seen someone ping via Wireshark). And TIL about the MacTCP DNS limitation.
I've updated the DNS to a plain A record. The previous TTL was very long so it may take several hours to propagate.
The two AIR settings screens are attached, to confirm I've got everything correct. ENHANCE!
This weekend I made a little web app that combines old technology with something new. (That may be one my favorite new pastimes.)

Thanks for the fun images @paulrickards and @smallsco. “They’re good printers, Brent.” #GlobalTalk #marchintosh

@Overlord_Eden Absolutely! I tried that experiment last summer and failed horribly. Still not sure where I went wrong. Would love to know more about your process.

@Overlord_Eden Awesome, thanks. My first non-Mastodon follow on here! I will check out the video for sure.
I custom-designed and 3D-printed the filter holder on mine. Can publish to Printables if interested. I think the gels I used were not the right colors, especially the green. Plus the blue is so dark, I think it majorly affects the exposure.

@Aut@hachyderm.io Is this for use in-flight? For safety’s sake I only care about relative altitude. So like +8 for “800 feet above me”. Easier to grok than trying to do math.

@jensorensen@mastodon.social My dad had a “Real men recycle” t-shirt and I think about that a lot.

@paulrickards@mastodon.social There was a hilarious discussion of this in @atpfm@mastodon.social episode 567 at 1:42:00, where they try to recall with the names without cheating. https://atp.fm/567

@Aut I made a Result class for a Rails project and it makes business logic SO much nicer to grok. Looks very similar to this.

@Overlord_Eden This was the bump I needed to actually publish it. So, thanks! Here it is: https://www.printables.com/model/1604485-game-boy-camera-gel-filter-holder
One major improvement will be to angle the filter BACK so it’s much closer to the lens. I didn't realize how wonky the angle of the camera is.

@theirongiant Yes, “Use only the host IDs listed” is unchecked. Are you having trouble connecting?
