Sober and clean-living whenever no alternative presents itself.

Free time is mostly spent visiting local concerts, reading and touching my computer.

Following lots of people to fill up my single-user instance: I liked some of your posts and would like more of them to show up on my timeline, that's all.

@grimalkina@mastodon.social @ElenLeFoll@fediscience.org Reminds me of when people at the University of Minnesota deliberately submitted buggy patches to the Linux kernel “for science“. So now maintainers default-reject all submissions from an umn.edu email address.

@mustapipa@scicomm.xyz Thanks for sharing, let’s hope other journals follow suit! (That link really irks me though: Nature paywalling an article about the open access journal (Biology Open) that actually ran the experiment.)

@0xabad1dea The last queen kept it at April 30 (her mum’s birthday) instead of moving it to January 31 for meteorological reasons, Amalia might do the same. Oh, and you missed Ascension day 😉

Not naming names, but some of you mentioned Dungeon Crawler Carl a while ago, and now my midnight “small bit of reading before sleep” ended at 6 AM.

Nowadays¹ I save up almost² all my Bandcamp likes, then go through my wishlist buying stuff on #BandcampFriday. (So stuff released today ends up on the bottom of next month’s list.) ¹. since March 2022 ². When I like a live performance I’ll sometimes (ok, often) buy their stuff right away (to pretend it counts outside my music budget).

@0xabad1dea@infosec.exchange I guess it’s time to finally at least download it all as FLAC, and worry about converting my library later.

@BoysenberryCider@mastodon.social @luhmann@hachyderm.io I’m not hating people, and I know the US is a pretty shitty place to be for most of its citizens. That doesn’t change that I feel the primary responsibility for a countries’ actions lies with it’s citizens. I don’t know if I’d do better, but that doesn’t make it right.
