Player death, mission completion, and all the "after" screens are now working, including the scores :D

@stux@mstdn.social I will say I'm still surprised at how good these ancient assets look when rendered in full HD or better :)

RE: https://furry.engineer/@reyna/116845899376493944
My job situation may be more dire than I thought. Today work had a first evaluation meeting since ai use was officially sanctioned, so everyone spoke about their experiences. I was the sole person that did not use it at all, and now next Tuesday I have a meeting with the manager about "AI use"
So if there's a software place that isn't infected by this AI BS and wants to hire a very good and experienced dev with a wide history of professional and hobby work, that can do many things well, please let me know. I may need a new job very soon and would be quite glad.

I've been struggling with my job situation for a while now. I clearly need to move to something new, but *what*?.
Often, dev work is "b2b database + website", which I can do well, but don't really enjoy. What I like (games/graphics type stuff) is rare and likely in a volatile industry or underpaid.
On top of that, I'm having a hard time gauging companies, a lot of them that I've seen so far still require at least *some* days in the office which greatly limits my options, and there's always the specter of "do I have to deal with genAI there".
And while doing freelance work may very well solve a lot of the job satisfaction aspects, I barely have any reach and am terrible at networking, so I suspect I simply won't get any work that way either.
I feel utterly stuck and I don't know how to move to a better situation, what the heck do I do?!

@stux@mstdn.social Still using Unity for this. It's what I'm familiar with and back when I started I wasn't up for learning a new one.

@maruno@woof.tech I have some trouble considering a future in IT as well, but my problem is that right now software dev is my only marketable skill, so I kind of... *have* to for the foreseeable future :(
